Rating: Summary: Should be a movie! Review: I gotta say, I heard about this book from a sci-fi website, and I was a little hesistant to pick it up when I saw that the book was like thirty-five dollars (this guy think he's Stephen King, or something?). But the description seemed really original, so I said, "what the heck!". Let me tell you, it's totally worth it! It's a thick book (550+ pages), but it reads like a movie. The dialogue is fresh, you really get into the characters, and the plot weaves from twist to twist to twist. It's a really good read. I hope he writes a sequel to it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Will surprise you... Review: I know stumbling across this book you might seem hesitant, first novel, whopper of a price, but don't be put off by those things. Like everything in life, the truly good stuff is worth jumping over the hurdles for. Mr. Gerdsen successfully interweaves several plots along with several genres to create a wonderfully exciting ride that I can't recommend enough. You really get your monies worth here, with a plot so intricate, so fantastical, but so well done, that you just might start believing in it yourself.
Rating: Summary: A fast paced, exciting read! Review: Mr. Gerdsen's book is very, very good. It had me turning every page with anticipation, yet apprehension as to the next horrific peril the main character(s) would encounter. It fits right in to our world of computers and virtual reality, so it's easy to identify with. Without giving it away, the way the plot weaves is reminiscent of Orson Scott Card's "Children of the Mind." I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: A well-crafted book... Review: Not bad. Not bad at all. This one's a reader's read. In some ways a throw-back to the way good books from years ago used to read. Most of today's hatchet jobs are written for people with attention deficit disorder-200 pages and out-- but not this one. This one's not afraid be descriptive, which is good because its meticulous attention to detail really makes you feel like you're there. It's the kind of book for people who thoroughly enjoy the written word.
