Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Spine Tingling
Review: I have read all of Keith's books and this is my favorite. From the very first page I was hooked. It starts out with a small carnival that goes from town to town. Obviously this is no ordinary carnival. The carnival has various shows that people can choose to see (freak shows, fortune telling shows etc). The key word here is choose. As Lilth constantly states "it is always your choice." No one is ever made or forced to attend one of these shows it is always by choice. So basically what happens to them is of their own choosing. Once someone has chosen to go to one of these shows, they become a fixture in the show based on some weakness of character or wrong doing on their part. That is the freakiest part of the whole book. It is the scary fear of the unknown because I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next. I read this book in one day because I could not put it down. It was completely action packed without one slow point in the entire book.
