Summary: Love, and relationships... men, woman, animals, beasts.
Review: I read this book approx 3 years ago.. and it still haunts me!!!

I found I could not put the book down. It was a very interesting description of the Author's perceptions of love and relationships from the perspectives of a man, a woman, and most strikingly, a wild animal. The Werewolf was not " hellish" in this authors writing, instead, was a man - turned animal, then beast. The moral transition that takes place along such a transormation is well described.

This writing would have been banned in another era for it's sexual content; as the author describes the animalistic nature of love, including the maddening rush to mate-- from the perspective of both human and animal. The reader is reminded that human and animal behavior in matters of sexuality are not always that far apart.

I found the descriptive writings of many topics, places, and more prominently, his descriptions of people... most interesting, and at times insightful... reminding me of characters I may see in my town.

Being from Maine, I found this was an eerie portrayal of a town ( close to my hometown) which was chosen by the Author for the setting in which the main characters resided through much of the story; and which haunts me as I near that town in my travels... to this day!

Thank you!
Debbie
