Rating: Summary: Very good! Review: Gimme a Kiss was written by Christopher Pike. The story takes place in a police station. It also takes place on a boat, floating along a river, and in a cabin on some mountains. The book is about a girl who gets revenge on her boyfriend. I like the story.I like it because it has a lot of excitment. The best part of the book is when Jane's diary is accidentally borught to school. I like that part because it had a lot of excitement. The stoy made me feel emotional. At different parts I felt sad because I felt sorry for Jane. I would recommend this book to a friend because I think they would like it. I would read other books by this author because he takes time for his work.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good book Review: I liked this book a lot. it was one of the first books i ever read by Christopher Pike, and it is the one that got me interested in him. I love Mr. Pike because he is not afraid to be graphic, and he stretches to the limits in his young adult books. He doesn't treat teens as people who can be influenced by the books they read, and he is excellent at describing all of his scenes. (especially the bloody ones. my fav!) I reccomend that you read this book, even if you don't usually read Mr. Pike's books. I guarentee you will start!
Rating: Summary: "Some secrets are worth dying for...." Review: I pretty much enjoyed this book, but the beggining chapter was kind of ho-hum. It didn't really get the action till the boat scene, which I thought was hilarious. It's really funny in the ways that she tries to get Kirk and Patty to beat up on her. Classical! If you like horrors with a little kink in them, this is the book for you. The only reason I gave it a four, and not a five, is because the murderer didn't really have a motive for the murder. I mean, Christopher Pike gave us a motive, but not a good motive that makes you just go, "WOW!"
Rating: Summary: They all say it's the best they've ever read Review: I think the book was similar to Fall into Darkness. It wasn't a great page turner but it was acceptionally good. I give him credit but I know he can do better. It was for mature audience only. You should be able to handle sex violence and profanity but it's worth it. It doesn't get to graphic though.
Rating: Summary: Well done! Review: Pike pulls all the stops in this book and I am amazed how well the story was written. He never treats the reader as a child but as a mature person who can handle an intense story line with great characters. This is my fav by Pike other then the remember me books.
Rating: Summary: Very good! Review: They story is very good! It switches between two points of view until the end. The plot reminds me of Fall Into Darness, but is still good!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book is about a girl named Jane who leaves her diary unattended at her dresser. Filled with wild secrets that aren't even true, the diary page somehow gets around school. Jane is so embarresed and mad. Her boyfriend is confirming the lie when it never happened and a girl she hates is making tons of copies. She plans a revenge that will get back at all of them. Jane plans her murder. She makes it look like her boyfriend and the girl who copied her diary page pushed her off a boat and she drowned when she's really alive the whole time. But Jane makes the mistake of telling her two closest friends and this time a death occurs that is painfully real. The ending is sure a surprise and I think the book was an original. Though it does resemble Fall Into Darkness, I can still tell the major difference between the two.
Rating: Summary: Gimme A Kiss Review: This book was wonderful, and full of surprises! I never would have imagined what really happened in the end. It keeps your attention the whole time and you really want to continue reading it till the end. The book is full of suspense and has a lot of twist to it. It would be well worth your time to read this book, you will find yourself trying to figure out what is going to happen even when your not reading. You can really jump right into this book easily.
Rating: Summary: BEST PIKE BOOK YET! Review: This was one of my favorite Pike books. I have read almost all of his books, but I have read this one 5 times. It is an exciting look at mystery, but at the same time it is exactly how high school actually is.
Rating: Summary: doesn't this remind u of another pike classic?? Review: when u read about the boat scene.. doesn't it flash u back to fall into darkness? about Anne's book that John finds?? Hmmm...
