Review: Clear Lake Dark Lies is a novel based on real life events of a few people I know. Some of those things are sad, and others fun and happy. The character of Luke is based on four different people that have been part of my life at one time. This story has been refreshing to some, and hated by others. The work should've been proof read better as it is my first attempt at writing. I have learned much since then. I hope people enjoy the story and most of all--remember that it is a work of fiction.

Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! FROM PAGE ONE I WAS GRIPPED I COULDNT STOP READING IT. JEFF CAPTURED MY LIFE, LUKE COULD BE MY TWIN. IT IS SO SAD WHEN CHILDREN HAVE TO BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH CRIMES. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE FROM JEFF IN THE FUTURE. I AM IMPATIENTLY AWAITING THE NEXT BOOK. I AM PROUD TO CALL JEFF MY FRIEND. ANYBODY WANTING A REALLY GOOD READ, I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS BOOK. IT WAS POWERFULLY WRITTEN, IT HAS A WEALTH OF COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING. IT MAKES YOU FEEL THE WAY LUKE FEELS, THE PAIN, SHAME, DESIRE, THE ANGER AND HATE. I FELL TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH LUKE. IF THE WORLD OF HUMANITY HAD JEFF'S COMPASSION THEN THIS WOULD INDEED BE A BETTER PLACE.

Review: It's hard to explain all the emotions that you experience while reading this story, from crying to anger. Clear Lake Dark Lies was written very well, easy reading and puts you right into the story as if you were right there experiencing every wakening minute yourself. It's a book you can't put down once you start reading. I recommend this book to everyone and I think it could help others out there build the strength they need to get rid of the bad guys in their life. I'm looking forward to reading his next book, 'Where Big Trees Fall'.

A comment I have to make after reading some of the reviews. Clear Lake Dark Lies is rated "fiction", the only bad words you can say about this book and/or the author is if you are one of the bad people and the truth is bothering you now, otherwise, you wouldn't have the slightest idea this is a true story.

Review: Jeff did a great job on this book. I grew up in Clear Lake and can relate to the actual places that are talked about. Although this book is fiction, it really brings alot of things into prespective, within the small community. WoW. I can't wait to read more books written by Jeff.

Review: Jeff, this book was fantastic. I love the way you characterized Luke. Such a passionate, loving, caring, and truly talented child with a mind of his own, not to be steered in the wrong direction. You have shown us the scenery, the love, the hate, the crime, the passion and the suspense. You really blew me away at the end. I never would have dreamed how much Luke suppressed as a child. You made me smile, laugh, and cry. I will be reading this book for a second time. I really really enjoyed it. Thumbs up to you Jeff for doing such a great job on your first novel. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Hurry up Jeff and get that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th one out there. I know you are close to it, but I am getting impatient.

Summary: It will touch your heart
Review: The story of Luke Mills touched my heart in so many different ways. The combination of so many different emotions that stirred inside me while reading this book made me feel he was talking to me,telling me his story and I was listening to him. He made me laugh and cry and I just wanted to hug him and tell him how proud I was of him. Everyone that has at least an ounce of compassion and true integrity and a conscience should read this book and the one's that don't MOST definitly should because it will teach them many lessons that everyone should know.Jeff is an awesome writer and I thank him for letting me know Luke..I'll never forget him.

Review: This is an amazing story. I was taken in from the first few lines. This author made me feel so much. I cried, laughed, became angry, and ended up feeling that there is hope in the world. I think everyone should read this book. I myself experinced some of the very things Jeff wrote about. What a story. I hope to read more from this author.

I believe the crys of childern are heard in this book and by writing such a story like this may open the eyes of many who are unaware of what could be going on in there community. I believe Many people look the other way, but this book will make you stop and think what is really going on in the neighbor hood! So don't miss reading this one.
