Review: Persephone, Descending is one of those books that you immediately visualize as a movie. The author paints a narrative that is almost too real. The characters come alive, the setting is terrifying, and the conclusion blind sides you right off the path you think you're on. At a time when most horror writers are relying on aliens and science to create their monsters, this author revisits an old horror in a fresh and unique way. Set in the future, this book should appeal to sci-fi fans as well as horror. While I wouldn't recommend this book for children, adults will definitely find it to be a tour-de-force or horror.
