Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Haunting title
Review: Nora's Song by Darrel L. Rachel haunted me till I finished reading it. Rachel's first image in the book: a frightening dream sequence, sends a message this title will engulf one in the drama controlling Nora's life from the beginning of the book until the end. I can honestly say that in reading the book as a favor to a student, I was bound up in its questions and in trying to locate the solution Rachel found for Nora in this young adult fiction work. Nora has not made the usual teen-age mistakes, but has found herself in a cobweb of tangles which keeps her non-productive as a writer. As she sees this more a symptom of her life's problems and less an uncomfortable dream, she goes about solving the dilemma. A useful tactic in life as well as in writing. Another very good read. Thank you Mr. Rachel!
