Review: The story was captivating. The characters were real. The emotion was heartfelt. My best friend Rachel and I read itthousands of times. Wild Violets was my favorite book from elementary school. It tells the story of two girls growing upthrough grade school, starting out life on opposite sides of the tracks and each finding that her life changed immeasurably. It is the story of a friendship of the heart that endures and understands. It is so real, so compelling, so emotional, that even today I read this book to reminisce about my own path to adulthood.
