Rating: 1 stars
Summary: One of the worst books I read
Review: Cheats the reader.

Not scary.

Cop-out ending.

These phrases and more can be used to describe Let's Scare the Teacher to Death! by Tom B. Stone (which is obviously an alias...no self respecting parent would name their kid after a grave). I read it in a half hour at the library. I expected a macabre tale in the spirit of The Trouble With Harry. Heheh...no.

In fact, the majority of the book deals with a bunch of brats fighting a tall, nerdy teacher with a low voice. Only in the last two chapters does she 'die', and it turned out...ba-da boom! She fainted! But, no! The fun doesnt end here! The suprise ending is SO suprising, I'll let Mr. Powers say it.

"Its a MAN, bay-bee!"

YEP! Its a man! Turns out the reason why she was so unnaturally tall and had a low voice was...

"Its a MAN, bay-bee!"

and the sadastic principal hired HIM because he was a spy!!! Groovy!!!!!!!!!!

Now THATS a quality children novel!
