Summary: 2nd Grade teacher review
Review: I love the old buildings in New York with the gargoyles and figures that scare and interest you. I live in Texas now but there is nothing like NY. This book took me to the places in NY that I remember and love. I loved to walk in Central Park. Having the horses ride in the Park was great! I enjoyed the characters. I read the book to my 4th graders and now my second graders are reading it. They love the story. Most of all I love this book because one of the horses is named after me, My Sister Eileen. Old Rob,the other horse,is named after my other son. Maybe you can guess by now. My son is the author and I show off his name on the second page to the children in my class. They love to know that Mrs. Hult's son is a writer and his name is in a book. They talk about him alot. Maybe, they even dream of being a writer like Gene Hult. My dream is to create students who can create stories like my son has. Thanks for a great story.
