Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: Although the premise is promising, the stories seem to lack a certain something. The one bright light in this dismal collection was "The Pact." Well-written with a fascinating plot line, this alone could be lengthened into a novel. As for the rest of the book I say, read something more worthwhile. As for me, I will be returning my copy to the bookstore this afternoon.
Rating: Summary: RIP Review: Frank Allen did a good job. Get his first book. Sooner or later, he will become famous.
Rating: Summary: How Old Is This Man? Review: Frank Allen has got to be one of the worst authors I've ever read. Does he honestly think he could make his living producing garbage like this? The stories are old and tired and some are [derivatives] from other books. I guess we could all have a published book if we plagarized like Frank Allen does. As I was reading this I couldn't wait to get to the end. I literally felt like poking my eyeballs out. The photo on the back cover is as bad as the stories. He looks like he just escaped from the psycho ward. Don't waste your money. Reading the back of the cereal box is more interesting than this book.
Rating: Summary: The above reviewer obviously can't read Review: Frank Allen is one of the most talented new authors that I have seen in a while. His stories will make your skin crawl and jump at shadows. His style is unique and his ideas are fresh. I highly recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: Fun and Interesting Review: I thought that this book was both fun and entertaining. I enjoyed the stories and think that anyone who likes a good horror yarn will get a kick out of Bedtime Stories Your Mother Never Told You. I enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot as well as the characters in the stories. I think that this is the first book in a career that will be filled with many more publications. Who knows, he may be the next King or horror and you could be one of the in crowd that read him before he was famous.

Rating: Summary: Hitchcock or Allen? Review: I was absolutely disappointed by this book. It lacks everything from decent writing skills to imagination. I felt as if I was reading something that a schizophrenic 7 year old wrote. Don't waste your money on this one.
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your time. Review: I was very disappointed how much I hated this book. I was excited to read it but am now wishing I hadn't. The author seems to think he's Stephen King and it doesn't work for him. The stories are dull and the so called "suprise endings" could be seen coming by a 9 year old. Save your time and money on something good. Let's all hope he never writes another book.
Rating: Summary: RIP Review: This author passed on a few days ago, so to those who wished he never writes another book, they will get their wish. Although this is not my kind of book, I knew the author through the net and wish his family well.
Rating: Summary: Get it now, while you can. Review: This is not a reveiew per say, more of an informative statement. I give it a three, because it's middle of the road and I have to rate it to put this up.I do not have the book, but I am going to get it. It's his first and last, now that he is deceased. I have read his work before and look foreward to reading this one. I only regret not being able to have it signed.
