Rating: Summary: Great summer reading Review: A wonderful love story with just enough mystery mixed in. I really enjoyed trying to fit the pieces together. The little history lesson was very enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: Stirring Spirit Review: Hogan masterfully re-creates an historically extinct world and melds it with the prevailing worldview of the modern setting in which it takes place. It is an adeptly crafted tale of love, social progress and posthumous evolution. It blends old world Christian values with new age concepts and possibilities. A delightful read.
Rating: Summary: A well-written tale of mystery, history and love. Review: It took very few pages for the author to beautifully and sympathically develop the character of the young priest and to build the reader's interest in him, his moral fibre and his purpose for his life. The supernatural aspects of the story became very believable and evolved naturally; I found it nearly impossible to put the book down. The only aspect of the story with which I had difficulty was the naivete of the young priest-to-be and his family in their belief that Cass would be accepted in the society of the time, especially by his friend's family in Virginia.
Rating: Summary: Ghostly Suspense Review: The story is light and enjoyable reading. It combines the elements of suspense, history and life like characters into a clever story. It is not "War and Peace" but is very entertaining.
