Rating: Summary: 4 and 1/2 Review: Without the Bachman books added to this i would only rate this 3 stars. The Tommyknockers is a bore for the first 250 pages and I admit does get better. Its quite unrealistic and im not a huge fan of sci-fi but its an ok read if you have nothing better to do because Jim Gardener is a pretty interesting and dynamic character. The story follows a small town of Haven as "tommyknockers" gradually take over the lives of everyone residing in Haven. The Thinner is another ok read. I didnt feel like King wrote enough about the gypsy man who cursed a man for running into his daughter. The book is a little grotesque as the gypsy's victim continues to grow thinner and thinner. I suggest you see the movie first and are totally in love with it read the book. Your best bet are the King books written under the Bachman name because they are in my opinion far more interesting.
