Review: Deep in the unexplored wilderness of Australia lie twenty years of secrets protected by a madman. Author Glenn Miller utilizes his gift as an artist to bring his prose a bold vividness in CRY THE NIGHT. Written with extreme intensity, CRY THE NIGHT reveals the inside view of a mind destroyed by abuse and intent upon enacting its own revenge. Insanity and darkness walk the night, sharply contrasting the innocence and beauty of youth. The unexpected turns of the plot will keep readers hooked until the last mind-blowing page. Review: Move aside Hannibal; this serial killer is about as crazy and ruthless as they come. At times he was so cruel it sent shivers up my spine. Yet there were moments when I actually felt sorry for him.

This is a compelling story which is definitely not for the faint-hearted: parts of it were very disturbing and may leave you with trouble sleeping at night. The author uses a smooth flowing style of writing, with lots of twists and turns in the plot. He has created uniquely individual characters, and there are some great descriptions of the Australian "bush". Murder mystery fans will enjoy this; you won't want to put it down until the final page has been read.

Review: Once I read the prologue, I was hooked. I felt truly sorry for the young girl, horrified that she was found dead in such a desolate place, alone. I couldn't help but feel that her last moments were indeed terrifying.

The story is primarily about a demented killer and those who have unwittingly found themselves in his territory. The madman has gruesomely murdered many people over the years, mainly young girls. Horrific events of the past are revealed. He is prepared to do anything to ensure the non-disclosure of his terrible secrets.

Review: This is one great mystery that puts you in the mind of a deranged killer: as cold-blooded as Hannibal Lecter or 'Along Came A Spider''s Gary Soneji.

I loved the outback and the soundly portrayed characters, especially Keith. I found the book engrossing right from the start and finished it in one sitting.

Review: Well fleshed, potent characters each have their own particular disposition. Twists and turns keep the reading guessing in this tale of a monster created by the derangement of a parent. Specific details of the murderer's life are set down in fantasy, dreams, memories and loathsome actions by an almost sixty year old man who might be any one of the several fellows fitting that description who live in the area.

Not for the faint of heart, nor for a dark and stormy night when you are home alone.
