Rating: Summary: Six Faces by Ryan Callaway Review: "If you can put this book down before you finish with the Prologue, then you aren't a true Horror aficionado. Mr. Callaway hooks you immediately in the first few sentences and keeps you impaled on those hooks until the very end. You can't turn away from the horrors that he presents to you and you never feel as if you even want to. You're helplessly pulled along and you wouldn't have it any other way. This is a read it with every light on in the house book. I look forward to more from him. He has been added to my list of favorite horror authors. "
Rating: Summary: Over-the-top horror Review: Callaway's graphic descriptions of ritualistic murders will appeal to hard core horror fans, but his philosophical observations are what really sets this novel apart. The opening pages invite the reader to embark on a journey to explore the nature of good and evil. A rocky relationship between detectives Aya Becker and Marcel Brown adds further depth and dimension. Callaway presents his characters with insurmountable obstacles that go far beyond the challenges presented in many horror books and films. Like a hurricane or volcano eruption, the mysterious evil entity at work in Six Faces holds the power to wipe an entire town off the map. --Bethany Vale, author of Vengeful Tendencies
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Let me start off by saying that it is rare for me to give anything five stars. Six Faces just happens to be a RARE novel. I'm a huge horror fan and when I heard about this book I felt compelled to give it a try. AWESOME READ. The storyline is fairly original. I don't think I've ever heard of anything like it. Sure there are some elements you may have seen elsewhere but this one is pretty fresh. It has everything that anyone could ask for. Aya Becker is simply awesome in every way, a total kick @$$ female lead. Detective Brown is as hilarious as he is tuff, which is very. He provides the much needed comedic relief in all the right moments, and he and Aya make a great team. And yes, I appreciated that comedic relief. This book can get very intense at some points, and you are never really free of that air of suspense... not even when the book is over. I loved Six Faces from start to finish. Tragedy, romance, horror, and mystery... what more could you ask for?

Rating: Summary: Homerun on the first swing Review: Six Faces is Ryan Callaway's first published novel and it is a must read. Original, thought provoking, and uncompromisingly chilling. There is enough of a mystery to this story to keep you interested and enough scary moments to keep you on the edge of you seat. If you are a fan of horror, this is not one to miss. Buy this book!
Rating: Summary: The book Six Faces. By Alx M. Review: Six Faces was one of the best books i've ever read. I hope the author gets the inspiration to write an equally exciting and amazing book. The book kept me on the edge from the second I picked the book up, it took me maybe 4 days to read the whole thing that's just how on the edge it was.
Rating: Summary: Great Story Review: The story takes place in the once peaceful town of Little Park, South Jersey, which has been devastated by an incident similar to the Phenomenal Week of 1909. During the course of seven days, thousands of people reported seeing the Jersey Devil throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. In this instance, the circumstances are far more deadly. There have been hundreds of sightings and six unsolved, ritualistic murders - all within the Little Park area. The police department relies upon the assistance of its own Detective Marcel Brown and the "gem" of a neighboring police department, Aya Becker. Although the citizens fear that their town is being stalked by the Jersey Devil, Aya and Marcel realize that the murderer(s) are faking the sightings to aide their cause. A lethal cause that must be stopped at all costs. Although it's placed in the horror genre, Six Faces is a wonderful blend of mystery, action, romance, and suspense. The realistic relationship that develops between Aya and Marcel is one of this novel's many highlights. I genuinely grew to love these characters and to fear for their well-being. It is reading about them, as well as piecing the puzzles together, that make Six Faces such an enjoyable read. I will warn you, however... certain sections are extremely violent, unpleasant, and upsetting. I cried twice, and there were several times when I had to put the book down when it became too much. Horror fans, this one is definitely for you because of the mystery and the gore factor. Readers of other genres like myself, take my word for it. Six Faces is one that you will not want to miss.
Rating: Summary: Ryan Callaway Rocks! (4 1/2 stars) Review: WOW! I must say that upon ordering this novel, I wasn't sure what to expect. The excerpts that I read on the Six Faces website were very attention grabbing. So much so, that I practically had no choice but to buy it. I knew that it was Ryan Callaway's first published work, and that Authorhouse isn't exactly a big name publisher, so I was concerned I might be taking a risk. However, I was not. Ryan Callaway's editors might have been sleeping on the job, but a few grammatical errors don't make or break a book. The story does. I'm not sure how anyone could say that this book was all about "blood and guts". It is quite bloody and gory at times, but the main focus of this tale is the characters and the excellent plot. The protagonist, Aya Becker, starts off as cold and strict... but by the end of the novel I saw her in a totally different light. The characters of Six Faces are well-developed, some loveable, some not - and the story will keep everyone guessing until the very end. I have to agree with the first two reviews on this page, Sai must not have read the entire novel. It wasn't 400+ pages, and as I said, it's far from simply "blood and guts". If you're looking for a literary masterpiece, go read something else. However, if you are looking for a creepy, emotional, and character-driven story with decent writing... then Six Faces is it for you.
