The story combines history and fiction making the reader feel he's standing aboard the Vanguard. H.M.S. Vanguard is a remarkable story, whose 17 interior illustrations create a complete journey for readers, placing them aboard the decks of the H.M.S. Vanguard. I have to admit I purchased my copies of the book for the illustrations as much as for the well-told and extraordinary tale. If you're a fan of vampire legends, you won't be disappointed with this novel. It's not the typical horror and mystery genre most vampire tales have fallen into. Its a fresh and exciting tale that takes the myth and legends of vampirism to a new realm. The author possesses a unique storytelling ability, taking the reader back in time to the age of sailing men-of-war. Great reading!
