Rating: Summary: Interesting, but not for content Review: Wings of Flesh is an interesting first effort for author Edward Nyahay. It is not necessarily interesting for the contents of the book however. The book book itself is an earnestly told story of a Marilyn Manson style rocker married to a soft core porn actress and their journey to faith in Christ together against the literal forces of Hell. The book would be most properly categorized as supernatural thriller along the lines of the Omen or the Exorcist. What makes the book interesting is the autobiographical nature of the story. Edward Nyahay was in fact a Marilyn Manson style rocker and his wife is Jacqueline Lovell, former soft core porn actress. Their real life story from porn and rock to the Catholic Church is an inspiration for me personally, so I find the book's real life backdrop thrilling. That said, the book could have used some quality editing, there are nonstop grammactical and puntuation errors and very sloppy proofreading. One character is referred to as bald and having dredlocks in the same paragraph! Please note however, the worlds of rock, satanism, and porn are not G rated and neither is this book. I personally loved the book, I wish Mr. and Mrs. Nyahay the best in Christ, and if you can handle some very rough language and somewhat undeveloped writing skills, try Wings of Flesh.
