Summary: Vampires, Death, Zombies.....OH MY!!
Review: Lady Death's arch nemesis and Lucifer's former "beloved" gets her own origin story in "Purgatori: The Vampire's Myth" trade paperback.

This book is a collection of the Vampire's Myth series that came out awhile ago. After having been beaten and banished from Hell due to Lady Death's severely demonic persona, Lady Demon, Purgatori once again walks the earth after 3000 years in cosmic limbo. But two other very ancient vampiresses want her dead: Jade from ancient China and Kabala from ancient Kush (Ethiopia). Why do they want her dead? Find out in this story which covers Purgatori's ancient days as a mortal slave girl in the Great Egyptian civilization which legends are made from. Find out how Sakkara became the much dreaded demon vampire goddess Purgatori, and what sets Purgatori apart from all other vampires in creation.

From the creators of the teenage rebellion of Evil Ernie to the horrific grace of Lady Death, Purgatori is sure to become a vampiric cult icon.

Good read that's worth the money

Summary: How the Vampire Goddess came to be.
Review: Reading The Vampire's Myth made me miss Chaos Comics all the more. Gathered in this trade paperback edition is the three part story of how a beautiful slave girl named Sakkara is seduced, betrayed, and then searches for eternal life and a healthy dose of revenge. She gets both, becoming Purgatori, the Vampire Goddess in the process. Of course Purgatori has made more than a few enemies in the last 4000 or so years, and two are seeking a little payback of their own - so the reader gets two stories in one. From the drawing to the writing, this is topnotch stuff and no fan of the Vampire Goddess should be without a copy. Highly recommended.

Summary: Vampires Myth is a delightful look into her dark beginnings.
Review: Whether one is a fan or not of the would-be Vampire Goddess, readers will appreciate the dark, sensual delve into Purgatori's origin. The story opens in the present as Kabala and Jade work to capture their blood mother, Purgatori, so they can know her reason for creating them. Over the course of the story, the reader is transported to a harsh and ancient Egypt where lusts for power and revenge run rampid. I won't give away the ending, but rest assured any who love Chaos! comics, vampires, and/or good ol' burn and destroy fight sceens will not be disappointed.
