Review: Hide and Seek, William Carney's second novel, deals with some of the deepest themes I've ever read in a modern horror novel. I first read this novel 8 years ago, and since then I haven't been able to forget some of the scariest moments in all fiction. But it doesn't stop there. In HaS, Carney explores many facets of family relationships under the most strained of circumstances. HaS has everything: suspense, action, drama, romance, as well as its share of twists and turns in plot. I can only hope that it will be reprinted soon, as this novel belongs on everybody's bookshelf.
