Review: Ungentled Darkness takes a bit of a front end investment, but is well worth the time. Taking the age-old vampire myth and turning it on its head (what if they were actually "good"), the book carefully builds, layer by layer. Characters are well drawn and 3 dimensional - they feel like people you might know. The world created is fully realized, carefully explaining the how as well as the what of these creatures. If you enjoy a well crafted world with tight mythology, this book is well worth your time.
