Review: The thing I loved about this book is not just its portrayals of horrific scenes, but of the emotional impacts on the people who are confronted by them. In this since, I would describe Things That Go Bump as not only "just as good" as books from better known writers, but in some ways actually superior. And since this is a book of short stories, I found that I actually had time to read it! I didn't have to commit three or four whole days just to read one plot definition, one climax and one resolution. This book gives you seven; and to me, most were just as satisfying as if their subject matters had been spread over an entire novel. But watch out for rough language, maybe a little too rough at times, and for scenes of violence. Although, not every scene is as it appears. On the whole, this is a good book that deserves a good look.
