If only she can call Hadden, as a doctor he would make the pain go away. But before she can get to the phone, she passes out. When she awakens, she finds out about her family legacy that now possesses her body. Hadden McNeal is waiting at the church for his bride when he gets the news from Miranda's grandmother. As he reads the note, he can't believe it; she says she doesn't love him anymore and doesn't want to see him again. It's only later he finds out the truth. His love turns into a werewolf when the moon rises. Hadden is a skeptic; he doesn't believe in
the paranormal, but now he has to face the truth to save his love. Purebred werewolf Drake Guignard has come for Miranda. Years ago, her mom had been promised to his pack. Rather that marry someone she didn't love, she left home. Now Drake is here to claim her daughter as his bride. The more Drake pushes Miranda, the more she is afraid of his wanton killing of humans. Her fear of becoming like him keeps her from killing anything. Hadden, with his best friend Steve, does everything in their power to stop Drake from getting Miranda. Is there something that will stop the transforming? Can love win in the end? Moonlight Legacy is a great werewolf romance where you will love all the characters. The characters are realistic and totally believable. I loved the way Miranda fought the bloodlust, to try to remain human. She had a real heart and it belonged to Hadden. Hadden was great too, because he would risk everything, even his life, to save his love. Ms Dartt has written a great paranormal romance that no one should miss.

Review: For most women, the day before their wedding is the happiest of their lives. Such was the case with Miranda Slate. Suddenly, however, she finds herself curled into a ball on the floor, experiencing the worst pain of her life. Quite the contrast. Miranda's grandmother unlocks the secret for her. Because of this, Miranda knows she cannot marry Hadden McNeil, as she fears the truth may destroy him. What will she tell Hadden in order to break their engagement? While contemplating what to do about Miranda, her grandmother rushes to Hadden's office to request his help, as he is a doctor, and she feels he can aid Miranda. What will Hadden do when he sees the state Miranda's in? Shock, disbelief and more hit Hadden as he sees Miranda change. It is a medical impossibility, isn't it? Whatever the case, Hadden is not going to give up. He loves Miranda too much to lose her to this, even if he doesn't understand it. Miranda is half shape shifter (les loupes-garous) and half human. Will her human side help her to control the bloodlust common to werewolves? Would it be impossible if a stranger, a male werewolf who believes that Miranda is the key to peace among his clan, that she is his mate, finds a way to control her? What will Miranda do when she meets this male werewolf for the first time? When I first read that Miranda broke off with Hadden, I thought that might be the last we saw of him. I am quite pleased that Hadden's love for Miranda was one of the most powerful I've read in a long while. Add to this Miranda's conflicting emotions for Hadden and one of her "own" kind, and this book will intrigue you from page one. Pick up MOONLIGHT LEGACY and you will read a powerful romance that even the paranormal couldn't destroy.

Summary: delightful werewolf romance
Review: In Silver Valley, North Carolina, Hadden McNeal waits at the altar, but his bride to be Miranda Slate fails to show up. Instead her grandmother Elizabeth arrives with a note saying she changed her mind because she does not love him. Hadden confronts Miranda, who canceled the marriage when that very day she changed into a werewolf. Though a half-breed, she cannot halt the metastasis into a wolf when the moon rises. Skeptical Hadden accepts the truth declaring he will help Miranda though he does not know how. Purebred loup garou Drake Guignard has come for Miranda to complete the vow her mother broke years ago. While he looks forward to her becoming his bride and savior of the divided pack, his wanton killing of humans horrifies her. Still she craves fresh meat and mankind is choice cuts. Miranda rejects Drake and turns to Hadden for help. They visit a mountain witch while Drake begins a reign of terror to force her to acquiesce. MOONLIGHT LEGACY is a delightful werewolf romance that fans will enjoy because Jewel Dartt insures the transformation of Miranda and the full-blooded Drake seem like real species. The story line is a take on good vs. evil with the twist that Drake's belief in werewolf superior to Homo sapiens turns humanity into a giant stockyard for him and his kind. Though his best friend is to conveniently an expert on the supernatural, Hadden is a wonderful hero willing to risk his life for his beloved. Ms. Dartt provides a strong paranormal tale that will keep North Carolina residents indoors when the bad moon arises. Harriet Klausner

Review: Miranda Slate should have been giddy with excitement. After all, tomorrow was her wedding day. Instead, she lay curled up on the floor, in the grips of the most intense pain of her life. Paid caused by a family legacy she didn't know about, until it was too late. In love with Hadden McNeal, she didn't dare call him to aid her. There was nothing her sweet doctor could do to keep her from turning in a werewolf. Terrified of what she was becoming, of a heritage she had no real understanding of, she did the only thing she could. She stood the love of her life up at the alter. Hurt, and determined to know the truth behind Miranda's last minute rejection, Hadden pushed and pushed until he found out her secret. A believer in science and medicine, Hadden finds his logical world turned upside down. Jewel Dartt weaves an interesting tale of love conquering all. In the end, werewolf or not, Hadden loves Miranda, and is determined to stand by her. While the reader comes into the story after the hero and heroine's courtship, the intensity of their love hasn't diminished. Each trial they face and survive only brings them closer, and strengthens their love. With good winning out over evil and love conquering all, MOONLIGHT LEGACY is a tale for romantics and lovers of paranormal romances alike.
