Summary: PATHS OF DESTINY
Review: I became familiar with this author through the small press and am pleased to see that some of her work is now available at Amazon.Com. PATHS OF DESTINY is very original and possesses the beautiful magical flavor which this writer is known for. Her short story VERMILLION TEARDROP is among my favorites and probably worth the price of the book in itself. If you're not a fan of electronic print books I recommend that you take some time to download this one.

Summary: Good Introduction to Ms. DeLuca's fiction
Review: Sandy DeLuca is a veteran of the small press, and she's had a lot of artwork, short stories and poems published in several magazines I subscribe to and anthologies I've purchased. What's so interesting about her stories is that they're a lot deeper than a lot of the stories I come across in the small press. In her stories she brings you into the souls of her characters and writes about the strange and fantastic with a poetic style that's entertaining, but it also makes you think and feel. This collection is a good introduction to her work, so if you've never read her, this is a good place to start. She's got a novel out too called "Settling In Nazareth" that's very good. Hopefully some of the bigger publishers will realize there are a lot of us out there that want to see more from her, but until then, if you like smart dark fiction, check out PATHS OF DESTINY, you won't be disappointed.
