Rating: Summary: Deadly Disguise is somewhat intresting, but with many flaws. Review: Being a huge Elm Street fan, I was excited at the thought of a "New Elm Street novel." However, is the book any good? This particular book is about a celebrity who throws a Halloween party in his hometown, but the party turns deadly... For those Freddy worshipers out there, I warn you that Freddy is only in this book for about the last twenty pages. The story itself is intresting, however, the book must have had a terrible editor for there are a few obvious mitakes in the book. Two such mistakes are character mistakes, were the autor is talking about one character but uses anothor character's name, and it is obvious what the author has done. My biggest gripe with this book is that it doesn't follow the Elm Street rules. Freddy is attacking people while they are wide awake, and much of the dialouge from Freddy is very out of character. If you are a huge Elm Street fan, such as myself, you might enjoy this, but you won't be terribly thrilled with it. To pu! t it simply, this book was very average.
Rating: Summary: Ummm... Review: This really had no storyline to it. A bunch of kids at a house for a Halloween party held by a washed-up teen idol. Two guests are in on one plot, and another two are in on another plot. How much intrigue can their be with one group? Well, I wasn't that interested. Anyhow, this and that happens, and out of nowhere, people start getting killed. Then the main character--Rachel, I think her name was--starts finding bodies and she and Jack--the other main character--battle Freddy Krueger after everyone else leaves because...um...I forgot. I think the power went out. Anyhow, that's about all that happens. The story has no meat to it, and if it was a movie, it would only last a half-hour. And the name had nothing to do with the story! Jack was supposed to be portrayed as a killer at first, I think. But then not! There was no deformation on his face! That plotline lasted for three pages, before he ripped off a piece of latex scar tissue and they all went on partying knowing that Jack was okay. Well, there goes the story! It really isn't worth reading, plus, the editing was horrendous. There are many blatant mistakes. It's almost laughable. So, if you're looking for a cheesy, nothing, brain dead story, pick this up. If you're looking for a good book, move on. This isn't worth your time.
