Rating: Summary: the best military/alien/conspiracy book I've read in awhile Review: By my title I mean several things, either, this book will give you the heebie jeebies to the point of not wanting to sleep, after all, what was that noise? Or, once into it, you simply do not want to put it down. Being a friend of the author I suppose one might think my opinion slanted. However, I assure you that he and I have always been honest with each other about our writing, and I wouldn't say I liked this book if I didn't. So there. This book is hard to describe, it rolls into so many genre's, sci-fi, horror, and it's set a break neck pace. I found his descriptions vivid and bone chilling to tell you the truth and the visuals are something I think about even when I am in the middle of work. Thanks buddy.
Rating: Summary: Shivers Review: Charles's writing leaves a shiver on the spine that doesn't go away with the rising of the sun. I highly recommend his works to anyone looking for something to keep them up late into the night.

Rating: Summary: Wicked Scary Page Turning Thriller Review: I don't often read thrillers but I read this one on the recommendation of a friend, and I have to say that I loved it. The action sequences were great and kept me turning the pages well into the night, but I think it was the characters who truly made it for me. The heroes were well developed and sympathetic, so much so that I found myself mad at Charles Gramlich whenever one of them got hurt, or worse. The villians were wicked scary. This is definetly one you will want to read with all the lights on. Gramlich turned this one out like a pro, though I understand from what I've read that this book is his first paperback. I hope it won't be his last! I like the idea of discovering a new writer who I can enjoy. I recommend this book highly and hope one day to see it as an action-packed summer blockbuster.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put this book down. Review: I was a bit unsure how to take this novel from the excerpts I had read online. It seemed a sci-fi, genetic manipulation romp with the protagonists following the same old plot formula to a 'T'. Boy, was I wrong! This book has plenty of unconventional plot twists, many unexpected, and the ones that weren't still were surprising in their unique way of being exposed. This story does not suffer the over-indulgence of many sci-fi writers who weigh down their literary creations under a mountain of "science" to lend credibility to the ideas. Not Charles Gramlich. He thunders thru the story, ripping your guts out with instense action sequences that raise your heart rate without neglecting the necessary details or losing focus. While you are recovering from the shock of a Warkind attack, Mr. Gramlich fleshes out his characters and setting with an expert hand, guiding you thru an intense story without holding your hand. The protagonists are believable, the antagonists are frightening, the plot twists are perfectly timed, and the story is top notch and definitely original. I am still not sure what genre this belongs to and that in itself is congratulatory! Excellent job Mr. Gramlich.
Rating: Summary: Monster Psychology Review: This is a great read. From the first scene it pulls you into its vortex of action, intrigue, conspiracy, and gore. I especially like Kargen, the "monster" (I don't want to give away the cool surprise of who or what he *really* is). Gramlich's background as a psychologist really shows through this depiction. He gets deep inside Kargen's brutal, twisted, and changing mind. This book keeps you at the edge of your seat, turning pages. The action is flowing, well-described, brutal. The prose, even in scenes of horrific violence, is lyrical. This is a thinking person's thriller, because after you put it down you'll be mulling it over in your mind days, weeks, months after. I'm glad that the epilogue hints of a possible sequel. Buy this book and give Charles Gramlich reason to write it!
