Rating: Summary: dont' read the last chapter Review: If you loved Jane from the first book you might want to skip this one because her fate will break your heart. On the other hand Sam Jr. will make you cheer.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book johnstone rules a very good read Review: The Devil's Heart introduces Sam Balon's son, who becomes the next in line to fight the hordes of Satan worshippers. Toss in a coven, gratuitous sex scenes, monsters, and lots of gunplay, and you have Johnstone's standard formula wrapped up in a neat bow. This novel is better written than the previous novel, THE DEVIL'S KISS.
Rating: Summary: dont' read the last chapter Review: The Devil's Heart is an excellent sequel to The Devil's Kiss. For those who like this book, I reccommend purchasing part three, The Devil's Touch, and a conclusion to the Devil's series, The Devil's Cat. It's only too bad William Johnstone no longer writes horror.
Rating: Summary: The best absolutely, positively, the BEST Review: This book is great.. it imparts just enough of the story from the devils kiss to keep you up to date while giving you a wonderful current story and cast of characters that you can follow. It has love hate sin death and forgiveness all rolled into one. but sensitive readers beware this is not a book for anyone who cant tolerate alot of ... violence, and .... With what i might add is vulgar language. Everyone else read on and enjoy. Personally i cant recommend the next one in the series it leaves much to be desired.. dont continue unless your a real true die hard William Johnstone fan!!!
Rating: Summary: Fast Paced Review: This one was not as graphic as The Devil's Kiss was, however I still found it very good. William Johnstone has this thing with names that can be very confusing, but you get used to it. He likes to use the same names over and over again not to mention different names for the same person. A little frustrating. I actually liked the story line on this one a lot better. I think it had a little more meat to it. These books are more incidents, as my professor would say, then actual stories...at least to me they are. Everything happens in a matter of days with a set # of people in their day to day life...and a hell of a life they have...almost literally. Young Sam and Nydia's fated love I was not to fond of, but the twist and turn in the battle of good and evil are just as good in this one, if not better, as the first. All rules of the game are thrown out the window and that is always fun...to the reader anyway. This one I WILL recommend...very good. However you DO need to read the first one to read this one and that one I DON'T recommend...you will have to see my review on it to see why. Happy reading.
