Summary: Is this Laura Mullen the book publicist?
Review: Carole Maso's books are way better than this.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: compared to house ofleaves, this book is nothing
Review: I just read house of leaves, which blew my hat off. This is really pale in comparison although it tries to do the same things. Go read House of Leaves instead/

Summary: Is this Laura Mullen the book publicist?
Review: I've worked with Laura Mullen, a NY book publicist. She's a great writer with a wicked sense of humor, but a horror writer/poet? What the heck?

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Poor man's Henry James, only more hysterical
Review: It's an amusing book if you don't mind imitatative James, and no plot.

Summary: what hit me?
Review: Pretty soon you get the feeling it's not going to "end up happily" (or even "end up"...) but you still can't put it down. For anybody into Gothic/romance fiction & curious about experimental poetry (or vice versa): this book (& its "heroine") tiptoes nervously along all those border lines--terrifying, terrific!
