Rating: Summary: A fresh new horror novel Review: I'm actually pretty late in finding this mistake, but the book description depicted here is from some other book, having absolutely nothing to do with the Oak Clan. Also, the About the Author and the last few comments on the book aren't related. There are 3 editions of this book sold on Amazon. The best are the paperback and hardback editions by AuthorHouse. The other is by Internet Book Company, a publisher that went under in 2003. That edition is in very limited quantities but doesn't have the high quality you get with the AuthorHouse editions. For the best description of the book, go to http://home.earthlink.net/~oakclan/ and get it all straight from the horse's mouth. There's a link on that site where you can come back here and purchase it. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Corrections by the author Review: I'm actually pretty late in finding this mistake, but the book description depicted here is from some other book, having absolutely nothing to do with the Oak Clan. Also, the About the Author and the last few comments on the book aren't related. It doesn't really matter at this point, however, because the publisher of this particular edition has gone under and what few copies that are available here are the last anyone will ever have a chance to own. The Oak Clan is about to be re-released, though by a new company and it will be available here and most any bookstore in hardback and paperback form for probably around $20 and under. Check out the publisher's website for more info www.1stbooks.com and search for "The Oak Clan" by Jerrod Balzer. The real book description is there. In the meantime, keep checking back here for its release (probably in May or June, but hopefully sooner)
Rating: Summary: The better of the paperbacks Review: There are two paperback versions of The Oak Clan on this site. The one published through authorhouse/1stbooks is the best one. The other (Internet Book Company) is an older and is lesser in quality. Of course, the hardback copy is best by far because it's...well...hardback. This book is awesome! It has an amazing new twist on vampires (yes, it's possible even with all the different vampire tales out there) as well as ghosts and a really wild serial killer. Anyone who is a fan of Stephen King, Anne Rice, or just grade B horror moives is sure to get a kick out of this!
Rating: Summary: A fresh new horror novel Review: This is one of the best books I've read in while! It has a great new kind of vampire that's never been covered before (at least not that I know of) and the ghosts in here are really, REALLY disturbing. When Rick Jenderson, an escaped serial killer, gets mixed up with them all, things definitely start to heat up. The physical quality of the hardback book is great. Well worth the money! I found more information on this book at the publisher's website, www.authorhouse.com One thing is for sure: The next time I go into the woods at night, I'll be watching the trees a lot more closely.
