Summary: Do you like stange and horrifying books?
Review: Do you like strange and horrifying books? If you do I have the book for you. It is a great book written by R.L. Stine. It is called The Cataluna Chronicles, The Evil Moon. It starts in 1698, in West Hampshire Colony and then it switches back and forth with 1995, in Shadyside. It is a good book and after you read it you have two more parts to the story.

It starts out in a small West Hampshire Colony in 1698. Catherine is a teenaged girl and her family is a little poor. She is a big trouble maker and always gets into some type of trouble. Everyone in the colony hates her because they say she was born under an evil moon. She soon gets into some trouble and finds out a lot of bad stuff, like she finds out how her real mom is. But that is all I can tell you. Then you end up in 1995 in Shadyside. There you meet Bryan and he wants to buy a car. He gets a job but he loses it. He starts a new job but he was not making enough money. He steals it. He gets enough and when he goes to bye the car something goes wrong. If you are interested, then find it and read The Cataluna Chronicles.

I recommend this book for kids who have an interest in scary and ghostly books and teenagers. I don't know if many adults would like it. It is a really good book so my advice to you is to sit down and read it.

Summary: like real life!
Review: i feel like i could defintely relate a little to Catherine Hatchett. She is different like I am. But she is different in a special way. This book switches places from 1698 to 1995. Until the story is told in how Catherine killed William's father and got away with it! And it surprised me a lot when I read the part about Bryan and how all he could care about was the car. He even beat up his best friend to get Cataluna. But in the end he dies and Misty, his girlfriend is upset. If you read the evil moon, then try reading the dark secret.

Summary: like real life!
Review: I hesitated to buy this book in the first place because I didn't like the subject. But once I bought it I was glad I did. I really liked the transition he made from 1698 back to 1995 and back again. I really like the topic of a relationship being tried by a guys obession with a car. That shows how a relationship can be hurt over trivial things. Overall though I was really glad I bought this book.

Summary: A CAR!
Review: Well, this is definately one of the strangest of Stine's books. I mean, a CAR? But it was still a pretty good book. I found it a bit annoying the way it kept switching back from the 1800's to the 1900's.
