Summary: Forever Crossed is a great book!
Review: Forever Crossed is a great book! The story draws you into a wonderfully believable world of today with a great supernatural twist. The characters develop well as the story unfolds and as their relationships change?and in some cases grow much hotter?

I hope a sequel is fast in coming! Forever Crossed leaves the door open for an even larger mystery?which leaves you begging for more.

Summary: Where's the sequel?
Review: I read this in two nights and heaved a satisfied sigh at the end. A. Leigh Jones writes in witty, tight first person voice that makes me think of a female Sam Spade. Of course, Sam Spade never met a hot wereleopard like Luka... The world of Forever Crossed is not so different from our world--if vampires and were-creatures were to come out of the closet. The mystery of just what has made Olivia different from others who have survived were-leopard attacks will keep me hanging on for the sequel. An outstanding original work.

Summary: A Sensual Pleasure
Review: Lucious prose, intriguing characters, and a gritty yet senuous Southern setting. Olivia is a smart woman's protagonist: strong, sardonic, and sexy. If you are looking for a book with action that grabs you and plunges you into a dark and fully-developed altered reality, then this is the book for you. You won't want it to end.

Summary: I couldn't put this book down!!!!
Review: Olivia Peters is a Bereavement Counselor, she works for a funeral home named Forever Crossed. Briefly, a bereavement counselor sees the the circumstances of a person's death and comforts the survivors (or helps the homicide investigation). She is also the only known survivor of a wereleopard attack to not either die or become a shapeshifter herself. Her boss assigns her to work with the ruler of the Vampires, Antonio. He is trying to find a rogue Vamp who is killing vamps and humans in his territory of the Triangle. Coincidently, she is also retained by the local police to investigate the same case. The shaman of the local wereleopards was the latest victim, so their Ra Jahn is also involved and a mutual attraction is formed.

The book is filled with action and very vivid characters. The author has created a very believable alternate reality. The world that the vampires and weres live in is very well drawn and you can easily picture it. The love scenes were very well done, and there are others that are as interesting as Luka. This book is a definite must for fans of Anita Blake, but Olivia is a much less dark and more likable character. She is better adjusted and not a dark personality. I definitely recommend this one and can't wait until the next.

Summary: Superb
Review: She is not totally human but she is also not totally a were-leopard either as she doesn't change at the full moon. Olivia Peters was hurt by a shifter when she was younger but to everybody's surprise she didn't turn. She does have some of the shifter's powers as well as the abilities inherited from her grandmother who was a witch and a healer. She works at Forever Crossed, a funeral parlor in the Carolinas and since she started no zombies have risen nor have any vampires who didn't want to rise from the earth.

She is also a private detective who works with the local police on seemingly supernatural crimes. In the past three months many vampires have been killed and humans have been drained of all their blood. The police want to capture this rogue vampire as does Antonio Vesci, the Undead Ruler of the Carolinas. He knows the rogue wants to take over Antonio's territory. Antonio's ally Luka Niera, the were-leopard Ra'Jahn will help the vampire in his battle. Lukas believes Olivia is necessary for the upcoming fight. When the rogue and his allies strike at Olivia, it is Luka who Olivia turns to for help and it is Luka she is attracted to even though she believes the were-leopards will never accept her because she isn't a purebred.

Fans of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Verse will enjoy FOREVER CROSSED, an urban fantasy that takes place on an Earth where supernatural beings exist and are accorded the same rights as humans. Olivia is a delightful lead character doubting her prowess though the were-leopards think otherwise. A. Leigh Jones is a creative world builder and fantastic storyteller who must provide a sequel to her bloodthirsty fans.

Summary: Great Read - couldn't put it down once I started
Review: This was a great story, I really enjoyed it. I found myself not wanting to put the book down once I started reading it, always wanting to see where the story will go next.

The concept of the story was fresh and the environment was well written. The action was as tense as the romance was hot. A. Leigh Jones treats the reader to a great action paranormal romance. Although this is not at all like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I could easily see those that like Buffy enjoying this book. Great for a beach book or pick-up and read book. I can't wait for the second book to come out.
