Summary: BRAVO
Review: Are you looking for some very interesting reading? I just read the book SEX, GHOSTS & GUMSHOES by Bob Gunn. I read about this book on an egroup I belong too. It's an erotic thriller that is also lighthearted and loaded with humor. The story has an underlying theme of Female Sexual Domination. Gee..wonder why I had to rush out to get it??? The main character is Penny Albright.. who inherits a Manhattan Brownstone. It is already occupied by the ghost of Kerby Brewster, a young handsome detective murdered in the 1930's. The two develope a relationship that keeps your attention! Kerby can see the "ghosts" that are wandering about NY..as he is. Some victims of brutal slayings by a pair of vicious young dominatrices. When Penny and Kerby decide to help these "souls", the story gets really good. Bob Gunn has a great knowledge of the BDSM lifestyle and explores the femdom underground scene in NYC. I hope you all get a chance to read this book.

I'm Bob Gunn's newest fan and must admit that I was sad when I finished the book. It's scheduled to be the FIRST in a series of Penny/Kerby adventures. I only wish there were a whole series already on the shelves for me to obtain.!

Summary: Sex, Ghosts and Gumshoes
Review: Described as an erotic thriller with a smile, Gunn takes a witty look at the dark side of the New York leather and lace underground when Penny Albright encounters the ghost of a handsome 1930s gumshoe. Together they beat the pavement on the trail of a pair of sadistic killers. Their detective work often times transcends the boundaries of this world and the next, as Kerby calls on the ghosts of the victims to fill up his bag of clues.

The read is gruesome and riveting at times, but with a lighthearted bawdiness that will keep you smiling throughout. Sex, Ghosts & Gumshoes delivers exactly what the title promises, with a clever twist on the old gumshoe mystery theme in the bargain.

Summary: I'm Hooked!!
Review: Shocking, Sexy and Funny , Sex Ghosts and Gumshoes covers it all and then some.
I have told all my friends that this book is a must read. I live in a 200 year old farm house and I for one would not mind Kerby showing up and giving me a tingle!
I hope this is the first in a long line of Penny and Kerby adventures.

Summary: a wild ride of a read
Review: With a mixture of paranormal, sex and mystery, Bob Gunn offers a wild ride of a read with "Sex, Ghosts and Gumshoes." Beginning the story in 1933 with the life events of Kerby Brewster, a Cary Grant look-alike private investigator, and ending the tale in 2003 with a promise of more adventures to come, Gunn dishes up a heck of a story in between.

Kerby meets with an untimely demise and we meet him again as a spirit who has been lingering for 75 years in a brownstone building in New York City. Here, our protagonists get acquainted as Penny Albright has just inherited the old place from her late Aunt, whom she loved dearly. It all begins with a mid-night encounter with an Ouija board and is all quite exciting and ghostly.

Two other main characters in the book turn out to be rather bad. They are torturous, murdering, dominatrix females who have taken it upon themselves to avenge every wrong inflicted upon womankind. Kerby and Penny take it upon themselves to put a stop to the serial killings and set the lost spirits of the victims free. Getting to that point is all the fun though and Bob Gunn leads the reader through séances, historical tours of New York City, synopsis' of classic films starring Cary Grant, electrifying sexual foreplay, humorous scenes of haunting fun and gut churning episodes of murderous torture.

What research must have been done for the writing of this book! I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I was surprised to find a handful of typos, but gladly overlooked them for the content was so enthralling. I didn't want the adventures of Penny and Kerby to end, and as with a good striptease the reader is left wanting more. Fortunately, Gunn promises a series of books in the future. I look forward to that with tingles down my spine.
