Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nigel Bennett and P. N. Elrod retool Vampire Fiction
Review: It's difficult to knock a 400 page novel into an audio script, but an excellent job was done this time out. The story is vibrant and crisp and lends itself well to an evening commute or a long session with headphones and a drink of one's choice in a cozy chair in front of a raging fire/chilly air conditioner (your situation may vary).

I'll admit to having taken this tape on the road with me and will also admit that it added a half hour on my trip when I got too involved in the story and missed an exit. Nigel Bennett is gifted with a voice that is more than effective on an audio tape--it's molten silver. The characters come to life with a variety of accents and the blood, thunder, and erotic content of this vampire story are all well served by his superb reading/enactment of the story.

I will admit to never having been a fan of audio books--the ones I'd listened to invariably put me to sleep. This one will NOT put you to sleep, I assure you.

Just make certain you keep track of your exits.

Review: Keeper of the King is an excellent story, and read by Nigel Bennett, it manages to completely absorb you in it's folds. To reveal anything would do an injustice, suffice it to say that this is one audio book (or novel, for that matter) that I highly reccomend.
