Summary: The Cheerleader~
Review: "She was a nobody. Alone and ignored. She wanted what they had. Althea wanted to be a Cheerleader. Which meant popularity. To be noticed, to have friends, and possibly a boyfriend. She would do anything it takes.."

I thought it was ok, the whole high school cliche seems to be overly done in this though.. Like I don't think it's like this anymore in high school, but I could be wrong ;)

The ending was nice, but it could have tied up some lose ends. Overall it was ok.

Summary: The Cheerleader By Caroline B. Cooney
Review: Caroline B. Cooney writes ,in The Cheerleader, a thriller about a girl who would do anything to be popular and when she gets the chance she doesn't want to give it up, but does she?

A lonely junior girl would do anything to be popular like the freshman Celeste. Celeste is pretty, has many friends, and is on the cheerleading squad. She agrees to an evil scam to bring Celeste to a vampire she meets in the tower of her house, so then she can be popular like her. She agrees to bring Celeste to the vampire. What will happen? Althea starts getting weird feelings about what he is going to do to Celeste so she can be popular. Will it work or is it just an evil scam?

This book made me realize, be happy with what you have and not to do something crazy to get what you want. If you want something bad enough, just wait. It will come someday!

Summary: a scary, creepy, skincrawling thriller
Review: The cheerleader is very good and exciting. The main character Althea (your average outcast, invisible) a sophmore in high school who disperately wants popularity and gets popularity by giving the vampire, she ran across hidden in her house, victims. The vampire makes you want to puke with his personality and looks!

Summary: You can't create popularity
Review: The Cheerleader was an excellent book which tells the story of Althea who meets a vampire in her new house, who promises it all, for the exchange of people she knows. But when he takes Jennie (her old best friend) she starts to worry about what she's done. When Becky (her best friend) takes ill, she thinks he's taken her, and almost gets rid of him, until she finds out she's ok. She relaxes, but soon she's unhappy, when she goes through one day without being popular, she wants it all again, at the expense of a new friend, she won't submit, saves her friend, and traps the vampire. She's now back to being unpopular, she's lost her best friend, her boyfriend, her other friends, but she's FREE. I feel sorry for the fact that all the happyness she had was created by a vampire, and losing people she loves so much, including her best friend Becky. It's a very sad tale about the horrors of being alone, and you wish that she gets her popularity back.

Summary: The Cheerleader
Review: This book kept me on the edge of my seat, but did not make it so I could not go to sleep. Althea is just a girl who is never noticed. When she makes a deal with a vampire she is instantly popular, she also makes the cheerleading squad, to replace the girl she gave to the vampire. She thought it would end there but now the vampire wants another victim. Who will she give and when will it end? As the the story goes on Althea realises that she has to do the vapires every wim. Is it really more the vamires falt than hers? If she had never started it, she wouldn`t have to stop it now.

Summary: Pretty Good, although a little far fetched.
Review: Tht Cheerleader was a really interesting book. I have never read anything like it. It had very good parts, and feelings...but to much of it was unreal. I think it would be good for a junior high age group.
