Summary: By far the best series of books I've ever read...
Review: I've read all six of the Last Vampire books about 15 times each and they always have the same impact on me. Christopher Pike explored new grounds when he wrote these books. Sita, the main character, a 5,000 year old vampire is the most creative character I can think of. She is both merciless and humane. She loves deeply, but she must kill to survive. One thing that's very interesting about these books is the use of Krishna, who in Hinduism is god. Christopher Pike put a hint of religion and mysticism in these stories. If you don't read these you are truly missing a wonderful and moving group of stories. I recommend these to anyone and everyone who enjoys facscinating and moving books. A++++++. Go out and buy all 6!!!!!

Summary: A vampire's dream
Review: I loved this book. Christopher Pike is ingenious and wonderful. I loved this collectors edition. I loved the second collectors edition. The only problem is that I have searched on every web page for The Last Vampire Collectors Edition Volume 2. It is as if this book has been wiped off the planet. Anyway, I loved this book. And Sita is a person that can be looked up to, because she has dreams and wishes like everyone else. She is very intelligent and seems to make this book come alive even from the very first page. Everyone who can read will love this book. I postively promise it, and if someone doesn't like this book, that horrible person is seriously disturbed.

Review: I truly think that this is the best vampire book ever made.
This book is a must have for any vampire story lover! I read this book when I was in 6th grade and omg it literally changed my life. I was a very bad reader as a child but this book opened a door and introduced me to the wonderful stories books could actually tell. Don't think this is just a kid's book because it isn't, its so much more! Everyone no matter what age can enjoy this book and I hope it brings you as much joy as it did to me.

Summary: Pike- What would my teenagehood have been w/o you?
Review: You know, I really wonder what my pre-teen and teenage years would have been without Christopher Pike's wonderful work.
The Last Vampire series is my absolute favorite of his many books, and has even hooked some of my non-reading friends. Now at the age of 20, I still long to read The Last Vampire over and over and over again.
A beautiful book by an outstanding author!

Summary: The Last Vampire, Christopher Pike
Review: This book was fantastic....I first read it when I was a lot younger, and of all the books I remember, this was toward the top of the list! I just started rereading, and I'm hooked yet again. It's intriguing, and keeps you wondering what will happen next. Sita is a likeable character, with incredible depth. She's portrayed as a confident, intellectual woman of experience, a rare find in novels, especially since it puts the blond, blue eyed prototype in the wastepaper basket. A classic in it's own right!!

Summary: Vampires Are People Too
Review: The first collection book contains The Last Vampire, The Last Vampire 2; Black Blood and The Last Vampire 3; Red Dice. All three of these books are startlingly impressive, as are the rest of the six in the series. Sita is a fascinating character, who just happens to be a vampire. It is full of spiritual themes, and powerful language. I read it back in high school, then my brother read it as well, having heard good things about it from his friends. It is well worth the money.

Summary: Sita; A Woman of Contradictions
Review: Pike's vampire series is most definitely his best work, and one of the few that he wrote in first person. The first volume includes The Last Vampire, The Last Vampire 2; Black Blood, and The Last Vampire 3; Red Dice.

The Last Vampire- Sita, aka Alisa Perne, befriends a boy at her new school, Ray Riley. He is the son of the P.I., Michael Riley, whom she has just killed because he knew too much information about her. Alisa's intent is to use Ray to erase his father's files, yet unwittingly, she falls in love with him. At the same time, she also befriends a high school student, Seymour, who is dying of AIDS, and she is also running for her life because her ancient nemesis, Yaksha, is trying to track her down, so that he can kill her and himself, in order to fulfill his promise to Krishna.
Yaksha is the very first vampire. Sita was only seven-years-old when she witnessed her father deliver him from the corpse of her friend Amba. About thirteen years later, Yaksha came to her with an ultimatum, either she join him, and become a vampire, or die with her husband and child. Ever since that night, her life, all 5,000 years of it, has never been the same.

The Last Vampire 2; Black Blood- Yaksha is supposedly dead, yet there are new vampires that are after humanity. Sita believes that someone must have gotten ahold of Yaksha's corpse, and is using his blood to create a new generation of monsters. The suspect is Eddie, a pimply loner who lives with his mother and dreams of world domination. He is a disgusting, looney, yet somewhat sad character whom Alisa figures was the nerd in his high school. His dream date is taking a girl to McDonalds, then to the graveyard, then home to watch snuff films. Then, he'll tie them up in the closet and force them to suck on popsicles. He also formerly worked at a morgue where he would occasionally like to play with one particular corpse, Yaksha's. It is Sita's job to destroy his army, and then him, or humanity beware.

The Last Vampire 3; Black Blood- Sita and her new friend Joel, a cop, whom she has turned into a vampire, are on the run from those who have found out their identities. I don't really remember this book, but I think they end up in Las Vegas, where Sita encounters a friend from the past.

This is wonderfully written, and Sita is the kind of character one can sympathize with, though she is inhuman and does unthinkable things.

Summary: A Tribute to Sita
Review: Words cannot encapsulate the sheer depth and beauty of the stories Pike has woven together in this chaotic, surreal, horrifying legacy that is the life of the vampire Sita, created five millenia ago under macabre circumstances at best. Despite the thousands of lives she has taken, sins she has committed, hearts she has broken, and stories she has lived, it is Sita's retained humanity, and her need for love and forgiveness, that inspires such love for her from Pike's audience. From first word to last (and through every subsequent re-reading) I love her all the more, and am in awe that Pike was able to create such a saga. This series is hands down the best work ever produced by Christopher Pike.
