Summary: M-O-O-N! That spells terrific!
Review: I would hope that, should the events in this book ever come to pass (God forbid!) that I would find myself inthe Boulder Free Zone. But I'm afraid I might instead be in Las Vegas with Randy Flagg. Because the part of me that wants to be one of the good guys is not as strong as the part of me that feels safer with structure and boundaries and rules. But that's what Stephen King does. He makes me see my own dark side for what it is and to not be mortified by it, but rather to embrace that part of me that is not afraid to ask for, work for, fight for what I want. Mr. King scares me, not for the demons he conjures in books, but for the darkness, and its purpose, he shows me within myself.

Summary: Spot on my all-time list
Review: Definitly one of my favorites, although I have to admit I read the "shorter" version. You know, the one with 800-plus pages. A must read by any King fan.

Summary: King's Best? I think Not!!!
Review: Okay, I'm a huge fan of Stephen King. But first of all I couldn't get into this book. But, after much coaxing to read it, I TRIED to get into it. I admit, the first five pages are good. And the theme is good. Not the good vs evil, but the ending when Frannie asks Stu if he thinks people will ever learn. But that's the only high pts. This long winded, boring novel was impossible. King creates plot lines which go NOWHERE. and he gives extensive background details on any chracter who says the word 'hi'. Randall Flagg was a horrible villian. One demensional, Stephen, what were u thinking????? Of course, captain tripps is cool...i have an obsession w/ viruses...but it doesn't have to be 1,100 pgs long to express that everyone is dead!!!!!! King's worse work, no contest. To prove how awesome King is, read "it" "the long walk" and "misery"

Summary: A very good book
Review: This book is good besides the fact of the size. It has an erie effect when you read it. While you are reading The Stand if someone beside you sneezes you jump at first then you remember it's just a book.
