Summary: 1141 PAGES FULL OF THE BEST STORY EVER
Review: I read this for the first time three years ago when I was 13. It was the third book I ever really read-and I loved it. Since then I have read this one 2 more times, as well as many other greats like "IT" (read it twice), "Desperation", and "Bag of Bones". Many King fans hate it, but true ones love it, read "The Stand" you will love it!

Summary: the greatest book!!
Review: This was the first book that i have really read and was into it. this book also inspired me to start reading more of stephen king's books.

Summary: this is a cheesey book
Review: "oh my god! look out behind you!" is what you would be reading if you bought a book other than this one. the stand is not a book for people that like suspence and horror and all that other good stuff that makes a STEPHEN KING book.personally, i think that some cheesey author wrote it and payed KING to sign his name to it just to get people to read it. this book just didn't have all the properties of a classic STEPHEN KING HORROR STORY. frankly it scares me to look at his name on the book. it's just a cheesey story and that's all you really need to know. i wouldn't waste my time or money on it.

Summary: Better over time
Review: I first read "The Stand" when I was in High School. At the time it seemed very interesting as a commentary on what if? Now years later, I've read it again (14 yrs?). It now seems as if it could have been, but was avoided (thus far). Stephen King is truly a timeless author in our time.

Summary: Do they get any better than this???
Review: I have now read EVERY Stephen King novel there is (save for The Talisman), and I have been reading King for years. For some reason I have always been reluctant to read this book, and I am now sorry that I didn't read it sooner. This book delivers all you could ever imagine or want in a novel and it's worth the time it takes to read a 1,300 + page novel. I am now on to tackle The Talisman which is another one that I previously had no interest in reading, but if it's any where near as good as The Stand, I will be really surprised (the quality of The Stand will be quite difficult to top though). Now if only King could stop producing garbage like the 'Tom Gordon' book, I would be completely content. Don't get me wrong, "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" isn't that bad, but it isn't what you'd come to expect from a master like Stephen King.

Summary: the longest book I ever read, and it took the least time
Review: Stephen King is the master in character development. you will fall in love with the characters. this is a classic book of good against evil that makes you question all that you believe in. This is his greatest work.

Summary: INCREDIBLE PAGE TURNER!!!
Review: When I first read his book 8 years ago I said it was the best I had read. Even now I still say the same thing. Stephen King bonds you with the characters in this book and puts you in their shoes for awhile. If you are looking for a realistic thriller, this is by far the one!!!

Summary: 1,141Pages of pure entertainment
Review: This book is absolutely the best book I have ever read. You'd have to be crazy not to like like. Some people refer to it as 1,141 pages of pure boardem. I beg the differ. Let me tell you it was absolutely not in any way whatsoever. To the people who think that I'd like to see you right a book half as good. But until then try not to contradict him. Here's a saying that applies to you. Don't throw any stones unless you have some.

Summary: Excellent
Review: As my first Stephen King book to buy, I loved it. It is boring at some seldom points but not enough to bring the points down.Only one word can describe this book the BEST!!!!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is one of Kings best.
Review: I liked this book a whole lot. Of course it wouldn't be good if there wasn't something wrong with it. At some points King Just rambles on with his words. But the detail he puts in the book is excelent
