Summary: Stephen King is once again in fine form.
Review: It was another one of those "I can't put it down" novels. One thing missing was the jumping from one scene to the next which is his usual style but I hardly missed that. Still real fine form.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Overrated and trashy
Review: I have read most of King's books with great interest. Now, he just seems to be hacking out the same old thing. In this book, it seemed to me that this story could have been pieced together by reading The National Enquirer and watching the talk shows. I didn't even finish it. Same old thing, over and over.

Summary: The King is back.
Review: Since I'm a Stephen King fan, I couldn't wait to start this new book. It was a page turner, but still not as good as "Insommnia". King is on the right track now; give us the spooky scary stuff & a little romance wasn't bad. I still think that Mr King should take his time with his work and not pound out books (the like author in this tale). True King fans will wait in anticipation for whatever and whenever he writes.

Summary: This is a good book, but........
Review: Ok, before you people peck out my eyeballs, let me explain why I gave it 1 star. The book got 1 star because it is extremely good and King throws in all kinds of old characters (Thad Beaumont, Bill Denbrough). The reason the book didn't get 4 or 5 stars is that I don't want to give all you bandwagon King fans another excuse to keep reading his stuff. The only King books you people like are the weak, emotional ones like Rose Madder and Bag of Bones. Jesus! Where the hell were you people when he was writing under Richard Bachman? Where were you people when he was struggling to pay the bills and feed his family?

You bad-mouth everything else the man does, so he has to resort to writing the kind of crap that you people will like; not the kind of tales he wants to write. So return your copies of the Dark Tower series cause you don't deserve em.

BTW, "It" is the greatest King book! Eat it!

Summary: Oh, hurry up!
Review: Bag Of Bones has to be the only book by King that I did not enjoy reading. The book is not scary! It's too much a romance book. After I got through half of Bag Of Bones, I kept telling myself "Oh, hurry up and finish this book so you can move on to something more interesting!"

Summary: Stephen is one of the best storytellers I've encountered.
Review: Bag of Bones is one of those stories where you get so caught up in it that you almost feel a part of the story. Another Stephen King twister. I love the fact that you can't figure out the ending to his stories. In this book, as others, he makes reference to characters from his other stories. You feel as if you know these people. Bag gets a slower start to the meat of the story, but it's a good ghost story.

Summary: Grow old with me...
Review: Thank you Stephen King for once again for releasing another book just in time for my birthday! It was a delight to be able to order the book through Amazon.com before release too. Bag of Bones is a haunting story, especially appealing to the aging boomer who is no stranger to tragedy. Very genuine, the portrayal of emotion is believable. The details of the location are lovingly set out. The usual King story line of good v. evil is thought provoking, and very much on target. Also particularly enjoyable was Kyra's use of language.

Mrs. Todd's Shortcut was my first exposure to this author, years and years ago in a magazine article. We've been pals ever since. The Stand and The Talisman are classics by my way of thinking, always good to re-read. I was living Insomnia when it came out and have thoroughly enjoyed every King book. Accompanying this author on to middle age is somehow comforting!

Summary: I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN BORING.
Review: I'VE HAD THIS BOOK FOR 30 DAYS NOW AND I'M NOT EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH AND I READ IT EVERY EVENING. WITH MOST OF KING'S BOOK I COULDN'T PUT THEM DOWN TILL I READ THE CONCLUSION. THERE'S NOTHING THERE THAT KEEPS MY INTEREST. I'M ONLY HOPING THAT AS I GET FARTHER INTO THE BOOK SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN THAT APPEALS TO ME TO KEEP ON PRODDING ALONG. SO FAR, SO BAD. MAYBE I'LL FINISH THIS BY THE TIME MR. KING PUBLISHES HIS NEXT BOOK. P.S. HE STILL REMAINS AS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS. SO FAR!

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Bag of Bones is a new twist for Stephen King. This is a romantic ghost story. There is a love story, a cute little girl, old ghosts, and new ghosts. Of coarse there is also the excellent cast of slightly spooky Stephen King characters.

Bag of Bones is a story about a writer who looses his wife. He finds out, after her death, that she was investigating a story about a small area in Main near Dark Score Lake. This is the same place where their summer home is.

When the writer starts to dig into his wife's research he gets more than he bargained for.

Summary: They keep getting better and better....
Review: One of King's finest. It is deep in an entirely different way. No monsters in the closet in this one. The monsters walk upright and in the daylight and are call human. Exciting, thrilling, wonderfully engaging. A must read!!!
