Review: This was definitely a new area for Mr. Stephen King ,let's just say I remember reading this book one night,and actually looking over my left shoulder out of temporary fear.Those little noises you hear contribute to the whole scary experience.I strongly suggest to those that have not read this book to read it, and you'll see what I mean. BRAVOOOO!

Review: I finished this book the first week in January, it was a Christmas gift. I like to keep these review comments short but this one is difficult. First of all I liked the book very much but it didn't have the impact of love as Wizards & Glass (i still haven't gotten over that book/I don't think King realizes what a great novel DT IV is) Bag of Bones was however, very scarey @ times. In my opinion, it was a Gost story. King keep to the story throughout the entire book, no wandering off to the far left or right as he often does. The story is suspenful but not as descriptive as King's novels usually are. I still haven't pictured what "Sara Laughs"(the house and property) looks like and I usually feel I've beeen inside his novels visiting and knowing every character personally. Bag of Bones was a little vague...just wasn't as descriptive as KING usuall is. I highly recommend Bag of Bones to new and seasoned KING readers. Thanks Mr. King!!!

Summary: a very sad and scary love story
Review: I thought this book was very much in keeping with Stephen King's newer style of writing. Different from the classics but very good. I liked his descriptions of love never lost in all the characters. He has an amazing grasp of the everyday which I really enjoy. He can make you see the characters so clearly, I really liked Brenda Meserve and Bill Dean, so stuck in the past. Stephen King has such a grip on his characters. Aside from my admiration of his love for his characters this book also scared me silly. when he spoke about Mike Noonan's encounters with ghosts made my hair stand on end. He continues to be an excellent storyteller. I started with "The Shining" and have enjoyed all of his books

Review: King shows himself to be a master weaver of a tale in this thoroughly readable novel. If you enjoy being teased along by and drawn in to the narrative world of fiction, this is a textured tale to delight your imagination. Just when you think that you have become entangled in "too much detail" and think you want to put the book down, the fabric of the tale relaxes enough to further entice you to continue on. The play on the phrase 'bag of bones' resonates throughout the book, beginning with stark fictional characters to a satisfying crescendo in the concluding mystery of the story. Strong connections between the erotic and horror may require parental discretion.
