Summary: king's worst story ever
Review: i have been an avid reader of steven king's books for about 7 years. this was the worst book he has ever written. as far as i'm concerned king should go back to writting classics like IT , THE STAND, SALEMS LOT, PET SEMETARY, and CARRIE. when i read this book it was as if it was by a different author. i wouldn't recomend this novel to anyone.

Summary: At least it's not as bad as Christine
Review: Although I have never read any of Tabitha Kings work, I wonder if she's ghosting for her husband? If this is the new style of the master of modern horror, Jeez, no wonder he's doing commercials these days. I wish he would stick to what he does well, getting into his characters heads, and then killing them.

Summary: a KING for a life...
Review: it IS gripping, it IS a pageturner, forget what all the weak reviews say. I spent some long hours in the bath tub with the pages flying around my fingers LOVED it. One of Mr. King's best I suppose. Could be thanks to an excellent translation I read it in, well... Have fun, it's a great book.

Summary: Not that great, Stephen.
Review: This book is definately one I couldn't place on my top Stephen King books. It just wasn't up to standards. It had everything a good Stephen King book has (a few murders, a few dead spirits that won't stay dead, a few evil beings, etc.), but it wasn't put together well. I found it difficult to understand. There were times during the book I just wanted to close those few chapters into darkness and take it back to the library. I didn't, hoping that the next scene would bring back the old Stephen King, but my wish was never fulfilled. I just pray his next book isn't anything like BAG OF BONES.

Summary: "Good, but not King's best"
Review: The setting was great, but Devore's plot was not so great. Excellent if you're for that ghost-love story. Devore makes a dominant horror figure and actually the "bag of bones" theme is not all that bad. The ending sums it up well, but the not so neccesary killing of a certain someone peels your eyes for a bit. But that's King for you, in order to make you feel that certain vibe, he's got to create that image.

Summary: Stephen King "Lite"
Review: If you are expecting a page-turning, head-twisting story, read one of King's earlier books. This one, although still good enough, has few of the qualities we've come to expect from the master of horror storytelling. I was able to put the book down - that was my first clue. On the bright side, it still gave me creepy dreams. So if you're up for Stephen King "Lite", Bag of Bones is for you.

Summary: King is slipping from terror to the truly disgusting.
Review: King is a masterful story teller with brilliant works such as THE STAND and SALEM'S LOT just to mention a few. But with BAG OF BONES he has lost a long time fan. I was left with such a sickening feeling after finishing this book.I read to escape into another world, but in this case, I couldn't escape the horrible images played out in the final few chapters.I would like to see King focus on adults and leave children out of the gruesome tales of the macabre.

Summary: a new twist for King
Review: a haunted love story... bit of a turn from the usual horrors, but king definitely masters it! i'd say it's his best work yet.

Summary: Would really like "the old" King back. Too unscary.
Review: Read Carrie before it was popular. Loved Salems' Lot. I enjoy a good scare. It keeps the thing under my bed at bay. Would appreciate more scare, less psyco-babble. As far as good versus evil, let it to the preachers and priests.

Summary: Stephen King does it again like never before.
Review: Let me repeat myself:Stephen King does it again like never before. What makes this book so entertaining is not only was it scary but he gets hold of your attention and takes the story where you didn't expected. The novel is about a novelist and how he spent four years grieving of his wife's death. The terror begins when he starts to discover the mystery behind his wife's mysterious brain hemhorrage and that's when the terror begins and blood starts to spill taking him all the way to the haunted Sara Laughs summer home. You knew the house was haunted but what was scary was the fact that you didn't know who was haunting the house and what the ghost(s) wanted from that man. Of course the mystery is revealed at the end of the novel.
