Summary: In the bag.
Review: I've read a few reviews and seems as though the ones who don't care for Bag of Bones are the ones who read King for the Monsters and the blood and gore. The ones who did like it are the ones who read King because they realize he's more than a good horror writer, he's a damn good story teller. I guess I fit into the latter because I even enjoyed the first 100 pages that I've heard described as "BO-RING!". In fact I think the first 100 may have been the best part of the book. A man dealing with both the loss of his wife and his career. It's a good read, 528 pages that I read in two days...I never read a book in two days. It's not IT, or The Stand by any means, but it'll keep you interested and guessing. Thumbs up.

Summary: Too drawn out
Review: It really feels like he's been pulling his recent works off a conveyor belt somewhere -- no originality, felt like a cookie-cutter work, storyline had possibility but was drowned in the endless, superficial wordiness. I rushed out to get the hard cover, went to hear King read from the book (got a signed copy, too!), and unfortunately, that was the most exciting part of the "Bag of Bones" experience. The book itself certainly wasn't...

Summary: Worth reading for the last 100 pages!!!
Review: Starting this book was like seeing King as if He was a pure mystery writer;hard for me to get use to.The last one hundred pages however was my vintage King;just like your old pair of favorite broken in shoes;"Please Mr. King no more experimenting!!!

Summary: Timothy Grace -Australian creative writer.
Review: I'm sorry that everyone thinks that King is the greatest writer of all time but honestly, I HATE this book. I'll give it to him that as a fellow writer he wrote the book quite well with lots of long words, but sorry, its a bad and boring read! I think most of us read King be scared to death but NO.

Summary: Was this really written by Stephen King ???
Review: There were so much obvious emotion, I almost cried. Yes, I almost cried, because you felt for the people, and if anybody had told me that this was based on a true story.....I would have believed them in an instant.

Summary: A master-piece, but only for old King fans
Review: OK, now it's clear that King has two types of books - the ones where you are thrown into fast, gory, action the moment you start page one (remember the Desperation), and the ones where you have to battle the semiautographic half-essay thoughts for more than half of the book, and then suddenly something happens which snaps you out and throws you into "the real" plot. Now, this is NOT a drawback (it would be, though, if the writer's name wasn't Stephen King). But, let's face it, you have to be on the first-name basis with King's literature to truly like The Bag of Bones. I really loved it, cos I am a true fan not so much of horror literature, as of King's fluent colocvial style of writing, but there are many of my friends who tried to read it, came to page 200 and than screamed at me "For God's sake is something scary gonna happen soon?" And when I tell them that real "horror" is only in the last 100 pages or so they give up on the book. So the point is - if you want to read a good book, and you like King's style, read this. But if you're into buckets-of-blood horror, try some of the earlier books (or better, go to the video store and rent Halloween XXXVIII).

Summary: Stephen King's Bag of Bones is his best in awhile.
Review: We are all aware of King's classic books that have become horror genre classics (Carrie, Cujo, The Shining for example)and although Bag of Bones may not reach that height of popularity it is still a wonderful work of literature. King explores the pychological effects of the grief of death in a man and as always adds in some terrifying flavor into the recipe. The book is centered around a writer who losses his wife tragically and is left alone and grieving. After moving to his lakefront house his wife used to love he is thrown in the middle of a strange custody battle, a new love, a town that holds a terrible secret and into a world of the supernatural. This book is garaunteed to intrigue you, move you and terrify you as only King can.

Summary: All the intricate detail made me feel I was at "Sara Laugh's
Review: I am an avid Steven King reader. I found Bag of Bones to be compelling, interesting, scary, mysterious and ll of the other words that are so often associated with Mr. King. I love the fact that he often refers to things from his other books and only a true Steven King reader would understand and get it. Bag of Bones seemed like it could be so real yet you know (or at least you hope)it can't. If you like Steven King, I would highly reccommend you read this one. It is a feast for the mind.

Summary: His best in years !!!
Review: Well, I've read all of King's books, and I don't remember being so stretched from them in years. Untill I read "Bag of Bones". It was absolutely thrilling, and yet it was also very romantic. I'm sure most of King's fans would love it. Now I'm waiting for the next King's book.
