Rating: Summary: Congrats to Mr. King... Review: I've read the book months back and had to write another review just to be the first reader to congratulate Mr. KING on winning the Bram Stoker award for the year 1999. This novel was met with such high regard and low candor that just seeing the one star heading really bothers you, especially coming from all the "devout" King fans out there. This book is different, everyone knew that. Whether it was the hard way with neglect or the easy way with being open minded. This book shone all through and beat all competitors at the Bram Stoker Awards. King's triumph comes with his biggest successes. An amazing, commercially successful novel, a miniseries and not to forget the fact signing in with a new publisher. The years 19989-9 were good to the author and he's still giving us what we always want. A heartfelt and warm scare. If yo read the critiques, Mr. King. Thanks... You're an inspiration of all that we could ever become. You and your work deserve the most righteous admiration.
Rating: Summary: Well...not bad... Review: This book is good, really, but not King's best work. It's true that it's not the King we all know so well, quite a fresh read, actually. But, not bad. Some parts are sad, touching, some parts are creepy, some parts kept you on the edge of your seats. But a lots (too many, to be frank) of parts are b-o-r-i-n-g. Sometimes I even find myself getting confused over the characters. Because of the boring parts (well, at least boring in my own opinion), I was skipping a few of the pages, which could be the reason why I was kinda "lost" at the end. So, anyone who don't mind the trouble, would you *plz* email me and relieve me of my puzzlement. I can't say my problem now because it might spoil the fun read for the readers who haven't read it yet. Kay, thanks a lot, but please email me! :)
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS SO BAD!!!!!!!!!! Review: I have read about 8 Stephen King novels till this day and allof them were ok, but this one is so dull. I think the plot is aninteresting idea, but there are so many wasted blah, blah, blah pages in this book. This book didn't have to be 732 pages. At the beginning it was boring. I thought for sure that this book was going to get better but boy was I wrong. This book actually got more dull and obnoxious closer to the end. Yuck, I've decided that I will no longer read a Stephen King book again, SORRY! ...Try John Sandford, now that's a good writer.
Rating: Summary: starts slow... Review: So far i have only read a little less than a quarter of the book. it is starting off very slow and it is kind of irking me that there is only one character for almost a 100 pages but it seems like it is just about getting started and it is going to be good. I am encouraged by reading the other on-line reviews. I am sure that Mr. King will rise to the occasion. I have practically read everything else that he has written.
Rating: Summary: Very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: It took about seven chapters for the book to actually setup the story. The middle of the book was actually really good. Unfortunately the ending was one of the worst I have ever read from King.
Rating: Summary: Nothing like King's other works, but absolutely WONDERFUL! Review: Bag of Bones is not the horror novels King usually writes. However, the plot is wonderful and keeps the audience on thier toes throughout it. Don't get the wrong idea. King still throws in the ghosts and horror expected. The novel is one of the bests I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: letter Review: i have read your book i loved it and i got your autotap i love that and your moives are great let me no if you are making in more moives or book and autotaps jenny
Rating: Summary: Not even close to King standards....disappointment!! Review: It seemed like King had this one sitting around for a rainy day and decided to send it in. He took way too long getting the whole story going, he introduced too many characters. King, go back to your original style!!
Rating: Summary: THE BOOK IS VERY ENTICING AND GRABS YOU BY EVERY WORD! Review: I'VE ONLY READ THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS OF THE BOOK SO FAR, BUT I COULD TELL THE BOOK IS GOING TO BE VERY ENTICING UNTIL THE LAST CHAPTER. I ALSO LOVED THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE BOOK TELLING YOU ABOUT HOW JO DIED SO YOUNG, AND THAT SHE WAS ALSO PREGNANT WITH HER FIRST CHILD.
Rating: Summary: Stephen King's original style returns Review: Stephen King must get tired of writing his masterpieces and he drifts off to things that may be different and more challenging to him. However in Bag of Bones he returns to his original riveting style of writing that his avid readers come back to. Bag of Bones is a page turner that reminds me of my all time favorite "The Stand" Good struggling against Evil - and Evil winning a lot of the rounds - but in the end we can all sleep easy because Good prevails. This is the King that we love to read. Of course, we read all he writes and love him in spite of some of his writings. But his writing in Bag of Bones is what we live for.
