Summary: One of King's best yet.
Review: I have been a King fan for as long as I can remember. Bag of Bones was one of the best yet. I was totally captivated by the audio version. At times I would pull over to the side of the road just to listen to this fantastic ghost/love story. I feel that the soundtrack was a great addition to pull the reader further into the mystery. I would read this book again.

Summary: Great book another winner for King
Review: This book reclaims King's role as the best story teller of the century. The plot is involving and heart warming and a twist of paranormal which only King can get away with. For those of you who think King is only a out for a scare or singularly a horror writer I implore you to read this book. A hardcover marvel.

Summary: Very Creative !
Review: I really enjoyed Bag of Bones. I am a first time reader of Stephen King. I have saw a few of the movies based on his novels, but I never really picked up one of his books until now. I thought Bag of Bones has opened me up to a whole new world of reading. I thought he was very creative in writing this story. I still have sleepless nights thinking about it. I loved how he brought a couple of different story lines into the book. It was so good I finished it in a couple of days. I couldn't put it down. I am now beginning to read all of King's novels. This book was unbelieveably scarry !!

Summary: Stephen King out-tells himself in this story.
Review: I have always scoffed at King's books (and fans). I had only read Pet Semetary, and found it silly. But Bag of Bones goes way beyond the "horror" genre: it is a strong and moving morality tale, a very scary cautionary tale (i.e., beware of saving little girls who wander into the middle of the road), a very sexy romance, a well researched history lesson, and above all an un-put-downable narrative.

I was wrong about King. He's GOOD! Let him write more like this!

Summary: Not like the others, but terrifying.
Review: This was unlike any other King novel I've ever read. The rape scene near the end is enough to make anyone uncomfortable. The ending was a little flat, and left some loose ends but this was a very engaging book. I recommend it.

Summary: Wow I couldnt stop reading this book
Review: This book started out slow and I was hoping it would pick up. Boy did it ever!! There was one part in the book where the main character was confused and so was I, just when I thought I knew if he was dreaming or it was really happening I was slammed back into confusion. I felt like I was right there with the character. At times I felt overloaded with info and wanted to skip to the next page but of course I couldnt. This is one of Kings greatest books. It has everything. heartache, love, lust, ghosts, good guys, bad guys. And I cant wait to see how it ends but saddened to say goodbuy to another good book.

Summary: Much more than I expected.
Review: I expected that Bag of Bones would be a typical Stephen King novel. Being a King fan I wanted the gripping, horrifying tale that I wouldn't stop reading. I admit the book started kind of slow; however, around the 100th page it took on speed. Suffice it to say that this is the only King book that made me cry. It addressed the horrors of America's past and it will touch, in some way, anyone with a heart.

Summary: Creepy....nightmares...scary!
Review: I read a lot of Stephen King, and I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't full of strange monsters, for me, it was just the kind of haunting I always imagined as a child. That made it far scarier than any of King's other "monsters."

Disturbing enough to give me my 1st nightmare in ages! And I kept following my husband around as I read... repeating "It's scary!" I hope you enjoy it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Definitely not his best work but not his worst either.
Review: I found that the book started very slowly. I was half way thru before it started to interest me. King likes to be very descriptive but he could have chopped quite a few pages (at least 200) and had a much better story. Still, when you finally get to the end it was interesting.

Summary: Classic Supernatural Suspense
Review: This is the Stephen King I love to read. I was an original fan 20+ years ago and read each King novel as they hit the stand - all the classics like "Dead Zone", "The Shining", and "The Stand". Somewhere along "Pet Semitary" and "It" King moved more into gore and guts than suspense and I stopped reading for the most part. I am thrilled I made the decision to pick up "Bag of Bones" (based on reader reviews)and give it a try. I literally could not put it down. This is a classis story of suspense and the supernatural. It is only natural for Mike Noonan to expect and accept the otherworld that shares his home. The reader begins to feel the force that pulls the main characters and sets off the final reckoning of the two worlds. I will continue to read King as long as the tales follow supernatural over sickening.
