Rating: Summary: YOU DEFINITELY MUST READ. Review: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS THAT MR KING HAS WRITTEN IN THE FEW MONTHS. I REALLY ENJOYED THE BOOK, FROM THE SUSPENSE TO SPINE CHILLING. I WILL SAY THAT THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ.
Rating: Summary: The book was suspensful and very detailed Review: I've always loved all of Stephen Kings books, but Bag of Bones was and is now one of my favorites, his writng still lingers in my mind. The book was definatly a page turner, I could't put it down. Stephen King is the man who inspired me to write and I hope that one day I can become a successful writer like him
Rating: Summary: Execellent book Review: I thought this book was execellent. It was very suspenseful, making it a hard book to put down. I can't wait to read his next book.
Rating: Summary: It was kind of boring at first, but it's good now. Review: I just got it for my 13th birthday, from my Aunt Barbara, and I thought, "ALL RIGHT! A new book!" But then I started reading it. It was really REALLY boring. It just started getting interesting last night. It's truly a cool (kewl) book.
Rating: Summary: Fair Review: Given that the reviews here were somewhat mixed when I first got interested in the book, I nonetheless went ahead to buy and read it. Although Bag of Bones started up somehwat slowly, I found that the story got better and more involving as I progressed. I could even identify with most of the characters and King's writing style kept me curious about what would happen next - probably a desirable characteristic of any good book. At one point, the book seemed to have a clear climax where suspense and curiosity made me turn the pages really quick and I didn't want to stop reading. However, this climax was only brief and the story returned to its general pace. Overall, a fair book, and probably one of the best King has published recently - but clearly nowhere near The Stand or even Desparation.
Rating: Summary: wow Review: This was one of the best books I have ever read. I was so involved; I could never stop thinking about the book until I finished it. It scared the heck out of me, and the plot twists are so sudden that you can never put the book down. I've stayed up late nights reading this book (as I am a slow reader) and I do not regret losing any of that sleep. This book rules.
Rating: Summary: One of King's good ones!!! Romantic and thrilling! Review: A story that keeps twisting, taking the reader into new directions and adventures. Will scare and tap into an emotional vein. Ghosts, ghosts, ghosts - this one will keep you up a few nights.
Rating: Summary: Simply Amazing. Review: I enjoyed this novel. Stephen King has mastered the art of novel writing and risen it to new levels. The detail in this novel could almost be looked up on as Shakespearean. When this man writes he is definately on a one track mind on his way to pleasing his readers. I hope Mr. King gets better soon and continues his writing. His novels just keep heightening the standard to writing greatness.
Rating: Summary: Stephen King made my shoulder sore. Review: I'd like to say this is his best book yet - the characters ring true, the storyline is as mature as any you'd find in the best 'normal' fiction, and as the horror invades the story, it gets truly frightening. Having said that, who doesn't wonder if this was actually written years ago, languishing in a safety-deposit box? (you'll have to read the book..)This is the first SK book I've tried in a long time, and is truly his best yet. Just try not to read it propped up on one arm. You WON'T be able to stop, and you WILL ache next morning..
Rating: Summary: Worthwhile read, though it begins slowly Review: This book has a strong storyline, and engaging characters. Mike Noonan is one of my favorite King characters. King applies a very literary style in this book that I've never seen him employ before, and it is very pleasing. Refferences to literature are very much a treat for readers, as well as the occasionally music refference for music lovers (one instance which mixes a little of both that I found very amusing occured near the beginning of the book: "You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't tug the mask of that ol' Lone Ranger, and you don't mess around with Mary Higgins Clark.")
