Summary: one of the best you'll ever read
Review: Great book, really, one of my favorites. The whole series is. Its so much more original than most. The main character, Sita, draws you in in the first sentence. If you love Christopher Pike, read this book series. AS soon as I finished the first, I scanned bookstores for the next and the next. It'll really leave you dying for the next book in the series. Sita's past is original too. You'll get to see history through her eyes. This book is kind of sad, but it is one of my favorites. Read it, trust me, you won't be disapointed.

Summary: Vampires Love
Review: I loved C.P. books on the whole series of The Last Vampire. The action and the story behind her were wonderful. When she had her daughter that would have to be one of my favorites. Everybody was thinking that she was evil when she really wasn't. The whole suspense behind it kept me reading. I could imagine the whole thing in my head. Like watching a movie. I have read all of his books and The Last Vampire series was my favorite.

Summary: I used to be afraid of Vampires...
Review: Okay this may sound really babish but i actually used to be TERRIFIED of Vampires. Than in 6th grade my Friend was reading the book and I picked it up and mildly curious ( i had read Pike's books before but hadn't seen this one yet)I began to read. I ended up taking the book home and I had to read the rest of the series. I'm now in 9th grade and I still love the books. And I'm cured of my vampire fears by this incredibly well-writen book. I really think the story of Sita is one of the great vampire and horror tales of this generation and time. It's right up there with Ann Rice and The Vampire Lesat.

Summary: Excellent! A must read for any vampire fan
Review: I have always been a fan of vampires, but never really big on horror. As a result, I waited forever before finally picking up Mr. Pike's first vampire novel.

I loved it.

I was entranced with Sita's life from the second paragraph. She is an awesome example of vampirism, a sarcastic and lovable heroine in a dangerous game. Deceptively cute, deadlier than a cobra is how Sita can be termed.

The plot of this novel is interesting. Sita believes she is the last vampire, a vampire with a love of life who does not need to kill when she feeds. But now there is someone following her, someone who knows she is a vampire. An ancient rival, the vampire Yaksha.

Yaksha, my favorite through the whole series although he dies fairly early, is the original vampire, the incarnation of a yakshini from the Hindu religion. His character is fully developed and lovable in his evil. The best judge of whether a character is believable is to stop thinking of him as a character but as a person.

I won't spoil the ending like I usually do, because this book is too good to spill. If you like this book, read COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT by Vivian Vande Velde.

Please feel free to e-mail me with comments, flames, etc.

Summary: Best Juvenile Fiction series ever published
Review: As an avid Stephen King fan who ditched the kiddie fiction authors (RL Stine, Diane Hoh, etc) a while ago, I wasn't really excited when I heard about Christophers Pike. But after reading him, I think he's a genius. This book has so much heart and theology that years later I can enjoy it on the same level that I can books which are supposedly adult fiction. Every time I read each book in this series, it picks up more and more. Sita is the most masterful character I've ever read. You love and hate her. Her legacy unfolds perfectly. It's excellent.

Summary: A masterful novel from a very unlikely source.
Review: As an avid Christopher Pike fan since the 5th grade, I was delighted to receive this book as one of my birthday gifts. I dipped into it, and as soon as I read the first page, I was completely enchanted. This is one of the most adult and wholly mature novels that Pike has ever written. The magnificent storyline envelops you like no other book can. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that I was reading a Stephen King novel, not a book written by some teen fiction figure. Sita is one incredible heroine. Being a vampire, she can do things no other mortal can...and this is where Christopher Pike writes like a seasoned master, detailing every aspect of being a vampire. Also, the flashbacks are wonderfully done, and the mood is appropriately tense. I finished the book in about an hour, and I wanted more. You will want more too, so it's a good thing there are 5 more novels to go! As you are reading the series, you feel as if you are at the same time watching an epic horror/science fiction movie at the same time, with so many emotions going on at one time.

It's a shame that this novel hasn't been recognized by any screenwriter lately, but not to worry. The series is worth every penny, and with every novel Sita's story grows more gruesome, more hopeful, and more sad. An absolute masterpiece, and the jewel of Christopher Pike's crown.

Summary: A great way to describe vampires
Review: this book is very cool. pike describes it from a first person perspective. he also describes very uniquely how theyre wounds mend so quickly and that vampires are good creatures. i also love his villains. they are soo creative.and you learn to love the charactors so much thoughout the series that when they finally die or whenever they feel an emotion, you feel it too. it is really outstanding how he uses our knowledge of the future to create such totally unreal plots. i love the book, it is a must-have just like all the rest!

Summary: Terrific use of soliloquy. Perfect book for teenage minds.
Review: Alisa Perne was the last vampire..or so she thought. Someone is out to get her and she doesn't know who. Can she stop this before it destroys her? A gripping book of mystery and suspense.
