Rating: Summary: The best book in the world. Review: This book is the best book in the world. I found out about this book when I was at the book store I had some a lot of Christopher Pike's books and I just had to get this one. At first I thought the book was crap when I bought it but when I started reading it it was his best book ever. I love Sita/Alisa Perne se is the best vampire that I have ever read. She made me want to be a vampire I wanted to be just like her. She is so powerful. So ever body go and get Christopher Pikes The Last Vampire now.
Rating: Summary: Addicting, A page turner, Enchanting, Great Review: This book is excellent. Sita is one of the coolest characters ever. Tough as nails, yet enchanting. The whole series is great but this one might be the best.
Rating: Summary: exciting, interesting, bloody Review: A vampire book which is spacey yet down to earth
Rating: Summary: Strangely aluring and simply beautiful Review: Christopher Pike's latest masterpeice "The last vampire" is one of the most intriguing and simply beautiful books I have ever read. This dark story of love and loss introduces us to Sita, a 5,000 year old vampire who beleives she is the last of her kind. This book beautifully blurs the line between the imagination and reality, it places Sita into our world and as you progress farther throughout the book you begin to feel as if perhaps you have met her before in another life? or even in this one. You cry at her sorrows and rejoice at her breif moments of happiness. You learn from her expriences as if they were your own. Christopher Pike has once again put out a book which unwillingly pulls you deeper and deeper into it's core, until you can no longer put it down. I have personally read this books more often than I can remember and yet everytime it is as fresh and as suspenseful as the first. I recomend this book and the vampire series to all fans of Christopher Pike and anyone who has ever dared to dream
Rating: Summary: If you're only gonna read one book , read this series!!!! Review: This book is one of the best I've ever read! Actuallt it's
six books . But the story is heart tearing. The heoine Sita is a
vampire , that , although is a vampire that kills people , you can
relate to her and you'll cry when she cries and you'll feel her pain.
The ending to this saga is extremely brilliant , but you must read the first
five books first. If I had to pay $80 per book , I would hand the money
over gladly. So , If you're only gonna read one book , read this series. You're gonna
get more than your moneys worth.
Rating: Summary: The Best Vampire book I've ever read Review: This book is well worth reading if you are into vampires and like to live on the wild side.
This is the adventure of a vampire who doesn't fear anyone and at first believes herself to be the last vampire alive.
You follow her through love and fear.
Definately worth reading!
Rating: Summary: A magnificent journey through love, life, time, and tragedy. Review: Sita is a 5,000 year old vampire, who is now going by the alias of Alisa Perne. Although Alisa (Sita) is a fictional character, Pike's words magically create an entity for her here in our world by using us as the shell for her emotions and spirit. "The Last Vampire" tells of her walk down an undusted trail of unique mishappenings. Alisa was reborn a vampire unwillingly, but she has learned to accept her newfound future. As she travels with her maker, she meets a man of Godly ways, and it is through him that she repeatedly finds comfort at even what seems to be the darkest hours. When one day, while living in the United States, Alisa realizes that she has become the hunted, rather than the hunter, she quickly decides that she needs some answers fast. Alisa soon discovers that she is being followed by a private detective. She decides that she do some private investigating of her own. She enrolls in the local highschool and makes friends with a young science finatic, Seymore. As they become closer, he becomes inquisitive of Alisa's actions and thoughts. But, Alisa does not feel threatened by his innocent soul, so she spends no time worrying about his questions and doubt in her. It is not long before she finds herself head over heels in love. For the first time in centuries, she is happy again. Upon recognition of her emotions, she is haunted by her eerie past. A past of love and loss, and we can't help but feel her pain. Nor, can we hold back the fuzzy feelings she is smothered with in her new love. Will Alisa let her suddenly overwhelming sensations interfere with her desperate search and fight for her life? I can not tell you that, you must read for yourself. I can say though, that Christopher Pike has the amazing capability of building a personality from words alone. He can bring the imagination and reality together as one, to keep you coming back for more. Undeniably, Pike and his book, "The Last Vampire," are two of the most intriguing additions to our century! Pick up a copy of "The Last Vampire," but do not stop there! Read on through this fantastic series and find your heart and soul, and a friend, in Sita-The Last Vampire.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Truly delighting! Review: I have read all of Christopher Pike's books but three which I
have ordered and I will be receiving soon. He is my favourite
author and this is my favourite of his books. I have read it
thirteen times and it is still as fresh and original as when
I first laid hands on it. I would rate it eleven if I could,
it was better than the best. I cried when I was reading it,
I don't know what for, maybe for Sita's eternal sadness. If
all books were like this Earth would be a second heaven.
Rating: Summary: Exceptionally dramatic yet fast-paced Review: This book is a work of a genius. I never ceased to be facinated with Sita/Alisa, and I fell in love with Ray as she did. I think that Pike is doing a great job with the serise too, each book gets better and even more dramatic
Rating: Summary: A fantasy worth reading Review: I have been reading Christopher Pike since before I even
remember. The Last Vampire series is one of my all time
favorites, and it so happends the first one is the best in my opinion. Its amazing how Mr.Pike can transport readers into a completely different world. He made Sita sound real, he took her and made it seem possible for a 1000 year old vampire to exsit in todays world. I really liked how
he made Sita a woman. It's a stereotype that all good vampires in storys have to be male. Sita was powerful and witty and a wonderful charcter. I recomend you read this
book, and it wouldnt be a bad idea to read the other ones as
well, there are 4 so far and 3 in the works. Its a wonderful
experience!
