Summary: A wonderful conclusion!
Review: So many people said they did not like the miniseries idea. I have to admit that when I read the first 4 books of the Orphans series I was definatley skeptical. But since I have read every VC Andrews book and always will, I read Runaways. I'm glad I did! It was a wonderful conclusion and made the first 4 books worth it!

Summary: A book that has high points and lows/
Review: I won't lie to you. This book wasn't the greatest but it did keep your attention. The book drags on a little but it has some action, love, and will keep you on your toes. I recommend it as a summer read. Also it isn't a horror book.

Summary: The Book's Okay
Review: I have have been reading V. C. Andrews for years. Although I have out grown her, I still feel obligated to continue reading. My 12 year old daughter has started reading them, so I will pass my collection on and continue buying them for her.

Runaways was a pretty good book. The girls, despite their differences, had something in common. They each wanted a home, parents and love. I admired their courage, strength, and determination.

To me the Runaways, Brook, Raven, Crystal, & Butterfly represented something we should all live by and that's togetherness.

Summary: This was a terrific book!
Review: I loved this book very much. I thought it was a marvelous book to wrap up the Orphan series! The Orphan series and the Logan series are the only Andrews books I've read yet but I'm about to start the Cutler series! Go V.c Andrews. So far I've enjoyed your books tremendously even if they are written bya ghost writer. Who cares anyway they are extremely well written and more over a lot of fun. So if you want to read a good fun book then read this one! It is awesome!

Summary: Prefer her earlier works
Review: Like many of the readers that gave the novel a bad review, I started reading V.C. Andrews with Flowers in the Attic 10 or so years ago. Runaways was okay but lacked in true V.C. Andrew's storytelling. For several years now the novels written by the ghost writter are written strictly for teens. Although all novels start out with the characters in their teens, the story use to unfold for an adult to enjoy. The original stories were written with such intensity and suspense. They fell into a predicatable format, but the approach was filled with such suspense to the horrific outcome! It's obvious that the Orphan series is for the young adult genre. They reminded me of the books I read in my pre-teens. I AM GETTING TOO OLD FOR V.C. ANDREWS but I feel if I stop, I will be missing out on something!!!! But I will stop here and just reread the books I did enjoy. I know this is redundant after many of the reviews, but go read Flowers in the Attic, My Sweet Audrina and Heaven!!!!! As for any new books from the ghost writter, move those books out of the Horror Shelf and to the Young Adult section!!!!!

Summary: It's Thelma and Louise all over again!
Review: Well, four Thelma and Louises. It was a great conclusion to the Orphans series, but the ending was kind of odd. Also, why was Brooke chosen to be the narrator. I think that it should have been narrated by all four of them, maybe one person for each chapter. What was so remarkable about Brooke that she would have been chosen to be narrator? If There Be Thorns used the technique, so why can't Runaways? If anything, it should have been Raven, since she was my favorite character. But she kind of dissapointed me. She seemed so level-headed in Raven, it was unrealistic that she sworn she would never be like her mother, yet like a fool she went out and had sex with the first attractive boy she saw. Never the less, it was an excellent book, very strongly done and I felt as if I was right there with them. Their experieces; naive, knowing, innocent were very much like what real teenagers would feel, and it was very well done. I'm only sorry it had to end!(sob)

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: I thought that it was a pretty good book. Not one of my favorites though. I liked that all the girls had a completely different personaility. It goes to show that everyone with different interests can get along like they did. I wish though that the end would be a little longer to go into details on how they were living after being seperated.

Summary: A really interesting book.
Review: I love this book! Some reasons are because it's realistic, and the characters are interesting. I also liked it because of the really great ending. I would also like to add that I would definitely recomend this book to anyone who likes to read.

Summary: Very diasappointed
Review: I have been reading V.C.Andrews since I saw the movie version of "Flowers In The Attic" and ever since I was hooked. I have read all her books since and I remain a big fan. I have to agree with other reviews that the books have just not been the same since she passed away. I don't think that the ghostwriter should stop writing books, I think he/she should just think of more original plots instead of recycling the old ones. "Runaways' was very dissapointing. It just ended so abrubtly. I would have liked more books written how how they lives would have progressed, such as Raven's actress career, Brooke's marriage, and Butterfly's love life. I feel that the mini-books were much better than "Runaways". I have just started reading the newest book from the Logan Series "Olivia". So far so good.
