Rating: Summary: A relentlessly paced novel of vampires past and present. Review: Before reading this book I thought that Dan Simmons was the No. 1 vampire author but Necroscope must be the ultimate vampire read. Lumley keeps the story speeding along with parallel threads of occurrences in Britain, Romania and the Soviet Union developing separately but building towards the final, mind-blowing confrontation. Lumley's imagination knows no bounds and ancient vampire lore is augmented by new discoveries. The sequels are just as good
Rating: Summary: The Greates Book Ever Review: This book is the all time best. Along with its sequals this is definately Lumley's best work. These books, exspecially Necroscope, long surpasses any other Vampire books in exsistance. Once you pick this one up, you better just order the whole set
Rating: Summary: COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! Review: If you enjoy Anne Rice, you aint seen nothin yet. Rice isn't even on the same planet as Lumley. They don't get much better than this. I found Lumley by mistake and thank God for mistakes. It may not be the easiest read you will ever find, but you will be sucked in before you even know what has happened. Get this book, lock yourself in your room and enjoy
Rating: Summary: The dead and the living will love this Review: I was a little wary of reading this book at first.
I happened to see this book in a swap shop and saved it from being thrown in the trash( a horrible fate for any book). The premise seemed interesting enough but it just didn't seem to be something I would like. Boy, was I ever wrong!
I have never been so captivated by a novel as I was by this one. Lumley's writing grabs you right from the start and doesn't let go. the characters and plot, though fiction, were real enough that you almost wonder if he lived it. It has a little something for everyone, horror, sci-fi, romance, action, and any other subject you might think of. (OK, so there isn't much romance.) If I had to choose one author and one series of books to read and give up everything else, it would definately be Brian Lumley's Necroscope series.
Rating: Summary: And you all thought that Anne Rice was a good read?!! Review: This was possibly the most outstanding read I've had in a long time(and I read alot). ESPionage, political intrigue, horror, sci-fi, love and lust, is there an element that this and Brian Lumley's other books don't have. The "Necroscope" is an astounding depiction of an up to date surreal myth, and the power of the mind.
If you have the ability to put this book down then I have to commend you, because I have lost a whole lot off sleep trying to do just that!
Rating: Summary: Most original horror Review: Lumley's talent for horror surpasses them all. This book is the first of a trilogy that will keep you up at night. Lumley writes the most original vampire novel yet. This book is a must read. Once you read this first novel, i guarentee you will order the rest of this series, as i did. I am now a dedicated fan.

Rating: Summary: One of the few books that can rival Ann Rice. Review: Brian Lumley brings all the aspects of the Vampire supernatural to light. This series allows the reader to visualize what is happening no matter what page or what book they are reading at the time. His constant supply of characters keeps the plot line flowing and easy to keep up with. I strongly recommend this series to anyone who loves to read horror. Ann Rice look out, there's a new guy in town
Rating: Summary: When the Dead rise to read a book, you know it's good! Review: Necroscope was given to me by a friend who said read it, it's on of those "crazy books"' you like to read!!! Well I read it, Boy! did I read it and everyone after that.
I wait patiently at the book store for the next one to come out. Harry Keogh (Necroscope the dead love Harry. They speak with him willingly) The main character is, well, let's just say a man of character. The villians (Necromancers, steal secrets for the dead delving into there blood and organs. Which causes the dead great pain)
(Spys, Wamphyri (Vampires),Esp'ers,Russian Agents,Scryers, Men with the evil eye.)
Well you are starting to get the idea. Forget Transylvania, Try a completely different plain of exsistance. Where the first true vampires come from.
And I haven't even mention the Mobius Continum (WHAT???) you ask.... Well read the books and you will discover more about all of this and much, much more....
A must read for all who just enjoy books. No matter what the Genre
Rating: Summary: An unconventional look at death...and the undead. Review: Necroscope is a semi-chilling look at the dead, and the undead. At the outset, it seems that the author, Brian Lumley suffers from a multiple personality disorder, as it becomes difficult to determine exactly what the book is about. First, you become convinced that you are reading an espionage based spy thriller. However, you soon become caught in a whirlwind of death! Enter Harry Keogh. A young man that can talk to the dead. That's right, the dead. It seems the dead keep thinking once they are dead. And Harry is the only one that can hear them. Of course, this makes him a hero to the dead, as he can finish up things that the deceased didn't get around to in their lives.
A parallel story introduces a vampire who has been entombed in the ground for over 500 years. A man from a secret Russian angency is trying to learn the secrets of the vampire for his own good, and accidentaly allows an escape for evil. Fans of vampire lore will love this book, but is a complete turnaround from Anne Rice's lush writing style.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: I finished the book and then purchased the rest in the series. I am now on the sixth book in the series and let me tell you, they only get better. From the first book to the sixth i haven't been able to put it down. I can't help but reading until my eyes close.
