Summary: Can we know the true Lestat?
Review: Can we know the true Lestat from just one reading of this excellent work by Anne Rice? I doubt it and therefore eagerly await (awaited) future installments in the saga. Taken in his youth and brought against his will to an eternally dark afterlife, Lestat spends the centuries searching for a definition of his existence. Along the way he meets others like himself that all have a story as interesting as his own. For lovers of light horror, for lovers of historical romance, for those with a stomach for the questionable sexuality of male vampires in general, this is a book not to be missed.

Summary: Great book if you like vamires.
Review: Excellent book. Really happy someone recomended it to me. Since I started I can't put it down. The way the characters are portrayed is great. I think Gabrielle and Lestat are the best of the best. I can't think of anything else I would like to read but for this. This should be recomended to everyone you know or come in contact with.

Summary: This book is the Perfect Lover to go to bed with
Review: Lestat is the unforgetable love affair in your dreams. The feelings and memories won't ever leave you. I really think that if they don't make a movie of it they must be crazy. But then again I hope they chose a good director, somebody that can show every detail of these magnificents beings that walk between us as beautiful as death can never be. Anne Rice, I am waiting for the next one.

P.S. for the Director: Don't forget these vampires can only cry blood. (Don't make the same mistake as the Interview movie)

PS. To Lestat: If you ever get tired of wondering in your Savage Garden maybe we can share a cup of coffe,(I know that you can't drink but I know that you like to feel the warmth of the hot coffe)

Summary: Lestat Rocks as Comic Star!
Review: Anne Rice's Lestat is one of the more popularly known vampires in the horror world. I am a vampire fiction lover and a comic book addict, so when this appeared I was thoroughly overjoyed! I bought it when it first came out. The artwork was fantastic, flowing from page to page with beautiful and cryptic detail. The artwork told the story, hardly no need for words. I could always visualize the imagery, but this was done with such remarkable detail that it was fantastic! I am an avid comic collector and I definitely say that this is a must for vampire and comic collectors today.

Summary: A COMPLETE SENSUAL STORY OF THE VAMPIRE LESTAT
Review: This is my first vampire book and my first book of Anne Rice's. I saw the movie IWAV in the movies when it first came out and after reading the Vampire Lestat I was compelled to rent IWAV. I love the way she describes in great detail Lestat's mortal life. I believe that the type of person and the past that a mortal lives has everything to do with what kind of immortal they will become. I am very interested in what became of Gabrielle and I would like for Lestat to become more intimate with women besides his mother and an ancient one. One difference between the character Lestat in the book and in the movie is his attraction to men. He is not drawn to men as he is in the book. I don't believe that Lestat is gay persay but maybe being immortal makes them bisexual especially since they can't "procreate". Although Lestat was drawn to Nicki long before he was immortal.Hmm.. Anyhoo the book is excellent. I am definitely going to pick up another of Anne Rice' soon

Summary: A Novel of True Sensuality
Review: All I have to say is wow. I have read this book 5 times as it is, can quote from it, and adore it with every turn of the page. Lestat will always be the true defintion of male beauty. And the description of things from a soft wind blowing to the pleasure of the kill is breath-taking. I myself am writing a book, and this novel helped me to be inspired. I also highly recommened watching Interview with the Vampire, the movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Exceptionally beautiful in all it's Gothic and vampiric horror. It exudes romance. All of her books do. Vive la Vampire.

Summary: A beautiful book, beautifully worded
Review: I really liked this book, however I didn't like the preceeding novel. At the risk of sounding nerdy, I really think Lestat is the most beautiful character in the chronicals, I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to bore themselves by reading Interview to get to it!!!

Summary: ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WOW!
Review: Were to start. This by far was the best book of the chronicals. I have yet to read "The Vampire Armand" so i can't commernt on that yet but I have read the Vampire Lestat about 6 times and i understand and see more things each time. I basicaly believe these books to be true. Anne Rice gives you everything in Lestat that you could possibly want. I wish they would make the chronicals into movies at least for those dedicated readers. I read just about nothing but Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicals. I've read Ramses and she definitaly needs to make a sequal to that book because that was by far one of the greatest books and at the end it leaves you hanging with stories and the future of the charictors untold. I guess maybee she left it for your imagination, but as for me i want to keep reading.

Summary: Not as good as IWTV, but not that bad
Review: The Vampire Lestat was an overview of Lestat's mortal life, and his birth into darkness, and his current life. It starts off in the present time, then, upon reading IWTV, Lestat takes you back to his mortal childhood and tells his story, then brings you back to the present and tells you his plans for the future. The history is a bit long, but once you're past it, a rather good book.
