Rating: Summary: R.L. Stine is a G-E-N-I-U-S!!! Review: If you like scary stories, do yourself a favor and buy this book! The stories are brillant and very spooky. The pictures match up to them perfectly! I LOVE IT!
Rating: Summary: Not quite as good as the first one... Review: Stine's first collection of short stories, The Nightmare Hour, was one of my favorite collections ever! All of those stories were fresh, exciting, and left chills running down your spine for days to come! This collection, however, isn't quite as good. The first story, The Halloween Dance, is probably the best out of the batch. It's pretty clever, unexpecting, and quite shocking! A great Halloween story. The rest were a little dissappointing, with the exception of "Revenge of the Snowman" which still scares me. The rest seemed a bit rehashed plots from his other books (but, after writing so many stories, I guess he's entitled to a re-run every now and then) If you haven't read The Nightmare Hour yet, get it. If you have, go ahead and get this one too (for the cover art if nothing else!) but don't be overly dissappointed if it doesn't mount to the first.
Rating: Summary: Stine creepers beware! Review: This book is full of spooky tales! R.L. Stine writes the tales of this book. Here are the chapters "The Halloween dance," "The Bad baby sitter," "Revenge of the Snowman," "How to bargain with a dragon," "The mummy's dream," "Are we there yet?" "Take me with you," "My imaginary friend," "Losers," and "Can you draw me?" These tales will haunt you forever. The Halloween dance is about these kids who got hit a by a truck but they thought they didn't know they did, so this other kid came and told them there was a huge mansion with a party about to start. The three kids went to a graveyard then a big gust of wind came and suddenly thousands of hands come flying out of their graves the two kids want to run away but the other kid told them to stay for the "dead" party. To find out what happens next you need to read the book!!
