Summary: Keeping the faith
Review: The body of this book was brilliant. Keeping the faith that somehow someway little Nina was alive kept me going til the end. Although I was disappointed with the ending, I believe that Koontz couldn't have concluded it any other way. I am definitely a believer in the paranormal and I still keep the faith that anything is possible. Good Job Mr. Koontz. Also, Ice Bound by Dean Koontz is EXCELLENT.

Summary: Why hasn't he published "The Book of Sorrows" yet???
Review: Great turn-paging story. Love it to death. Disappointed at the end but was worth the read!!!

Summary: On par with Watchers
Review: Watchers continues to be my favorite book by Mr. Koontz, but this one comes close.I love books that deal with technology and also spritual concerns. The protagonist is a typical Koontz hero, downtrodden and despairing, but with reason. Then he receives hope in that his daughter may have survived the plane clash. This story is plausible and believable. I loved the character of Rose and can't wait for the movie or mini-series. Mr Koontz keep up the good work. You remain one of my favorite writers.

Summary: Say, what ??!??
Review: Interestingly heartpounding at start, slowly confusing at middle part, building up to a big "SAY, WHAT???" towards the end. Not one I'd recommend but if you like unbelieveably supercalifragilisticexpialidocious characters, maybe this one's for you. As for me, I think I tried my best battling with my eyelids who were trying to shut after each chapter

Summary: It Is Not Scary When It is Unbelievable
Review: The best Dean Koontz books are the ones where the evil character could actually exist (ie, Intensity). That is scary. But this book is so lame with the New Age crap that you drift off reading it. As usual, Dean Koontz writes well, but the story line is dull. I like Koontz better than Stephen King, cause King's books never seem believable. Just gross horror. Entertainment Weekly gave Sole Survivor a grade of C-. That seems fair. P.S. I am very glad I got this book at the library.....

Summary: One of Dean Koontz's Best!
Review: I devoured Dean Koontz's latest book in just over two days. It was defiantly one of his best efforts to date. If you are a Koontz fan the ending was not suprising, and left me filled with hope for a brighter future as his books always do. This novel exemplifies why I enjoy Koontz much more than Stephen King in that love and hope prevail over greed, anger, and hate. Heather L. Kinse

Summary: Not his best...
Review: After reading Dark Rivers of the Heart followed by Intensity, I eagerly awaited Dean Koontz's next novel. Disappointment is the word that comes to mind. I did not like the ending at all. It started good, was mediocre (at best) half way through and ran out of gas at the end. I wouldn't recommend this book to a "first time" Dean Koontz reader

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Koontz loses some of his suspense.
Review: In Sole Survivor, Koontz falls short of the well-crafted suspense and general excellence of his last outing, Intensity. While Sole Survivor incorporates most of the great styles of Koontz's works, it overall lacks some of the incredible creations of suspense that has made his last few books outstanding reading material. While slightly flawed, Sole Survivor still makes for a decent read for the avid Koontz fan.

Summary: Sunshine in the darkness
Review: I've been reading Dean Koontz since the beginning, (even knew his pen names)and have enjoyed them all. He seems to fit right in with how my mind and imagination works. Sole Survivor is so uplifting to me, as was the movie "Ghost". I'm not an overly religious person, but one does need hope of a better or at least another place, that there is no ending, just another time. Thank you, once again, Mr. Koontz, for keeping my belief going!
